I don't think it's quite that imperative, however I do think it would be one of those perks that people would be likely to pay money for too, so... yeah, let's do it ^.^ (I support free to pay games XD, as long as they're not pay to win) though I'm certain someone will think they're clever and say having the original voice IS win, thus making it pay to win... *groan*

I love how she did MW2/MW2GBL and forever associate her with the franchise, so for me, it IS win XD, but NOT P2W XD

because if it was an option you payed for... it would be pay... and it would be win... oh never mind, the payer would have significantly increased morale from hearing her sultry voice indicating all systems nominal and thusly would be better able to crush the opposing team?

Having grown up on the old mech pc games, I would love it if the original actress came back. But as a player, I I would also like having different options for the voice. For example, a voice HAL, or a dalek would be neat. But let's be honest, I'm sure more then a few of us want a phone sex operator telling us "All systems nominal", right?

Loved her from MW2 and GBL.

I wouldn't mind Lucy Lawless however.

I think with her voice acting (with or without an accent) would be good too.

id like the voice actor from mechwarrior 3 personally, but thats cause it was the first game i played of the mechwarrior series when i was a wee lad, so wish i could play that game again... lol

If I am honest, if there were a variety of voices available I might just be swayed to buy a different one for different mechs. You know, in case you fine folks were looking for more "rub some style on it yo" things for us to spend money on.

Carole,
You warned us, with just a hint of tension in your voice, when we shot too fast and were overheating ;-)
I could even feel some emotions, relief and maybe a little cheer, when you said "Enemy mech, destroyed."
When you were afraid of the dark, and I hit "L," your voice got warm and happy and you said "Light ... amplification, engaged."
You waited oh so patiently for me to hit "A" so you could steer, but when a badguy came and I had to take over, you got angry, and said
"Autopilot :-) ... DISABLED."
Yes, it is just a computer voice, but for those who grew up playing MechWarrior 2, the original and best, we could feel it.
