Number 5 looks closest to the original art. The right combo of stubby and trashcan. The others are good, with number 4 standing out as well. I think the wide "head" and longer torso are the reason why 5 and 4 stand out.

Specifically it is supposed to be a Commando 1-C but is sporting twin AC/2s for some reason (so they did something right and something wrong, go figure!)

Pretty sure those are SRMs - compare it to the weapons fired by the Zeus' two arms, it's closer to the sound and pattern from its right (non-AC) arm. Also, it matches the in-game SRMs from the Mechwarrior 2 games; missiles always launched individually, in a relatively slow sequence, whereas ACs were truly automatic and would deplete their entire ammo reserve in seconds if you held down the trigger. Still, as to why a Commando would have SRMs in both arms - *shrug*

going to go with 3. I think Bishop got the legs right, but the top looks weird all squished like that. The top is fine in my opinion so the 3 Is good in my opinion because its a mix.

#5 Has my vote. It keeps much more flavor from the original.

Please, would a Moderator move this thread to the Feature Suggestions so I can add a proper poll?

If PGI doesn't make the urbie shorter and wider we could just have a Daishi S jump up and down on it's head until it gets smooshed a little.

I like #5

#5 is my vote. He should be short, squat, and cute. He should run like a fat kid chasing candy, similar to how the Hunchback moves.

I agree with this part - they have the art work and that's their design. What we don't know is scale. If the scale of the Urbie is the same as the Commando, the artwork is fine. If it's the size of a Centurion then it needs some major rework and the shrunk versions proposed are a step in that direction.

For the record, Odanan's looks better. Nr 4. But I wouldn't ask PGI to change their design.

So by your reasoning, we should never ask for anything to be different, as it' show PGI designed it.

Duly noted.

I have this version of the Urbanmech in my collection:
http://camospecs.com...ure.asp?ID=1028

Which to me looks closest to the original PGI design.

Though I often think of the mech as short and squat, so I like #2 as well.

So my vote would be #1, then #2, and no real opinion on the rest.

can we give the pilot a 360 seat rotation so I can see all around me without having to twist the urbie?

then I could twist the top of the urbie, while spinning my chair. You never know what direction I'm facing,
