Something like:
Kill = 15
Assist = 15
Solo Kill = 30

They are entertaining to kill in a light though.
Especially at the end where the aim is to leg them and let the rest of the pack peck away to get their assists. It is like torturing them before someone puts them down.
More lurm means less light killers and more plump targets with nothing but LRM and one small laser.
Also means your UAV and narcs will be rewarded with bonus credits and XP.

Put both to x15 and be done with it. We'd have a viable formula for these events. Or set both lower to x10 but increase the worth of damage, which is probably an even better solution.
And as for the actual 'match score' - does anyone even know how that's calculated? I sure can't figure it out. Which is why I'm glad they don't use that too often.

or, like other folks say...
(kill x 10) + (Assist x 15) + (Damage dealt - friendly damage)/15) ?
Think It's the first one since, I've had a few matches where the second would qualify.
(Edit) Still neat to see the contest, thouh.

I think the idea is to make the team play together and share.
Introduces a new element to the games repetitiveness for a few days.
But yeah it is a penalty on whoever does the necessary kill.
Remember it is only $0.10 per successful match. Not worth stressing over or slaving away for that tiny payment. Go collect cans from garbage bins or something, each can you find is like a qualifying match, hooray!
Just play the game as you enjoy. Take the kills and enjoy the boost to your kill death ratio for the week. Enjoy an enemy who is pulling their punches to avoid killing you while you go straight for their heart without mercy.
Bad teams works both ways, you will lose some because of avoiding kills but also win some.
If you are the teams Johnny on the spot executioner in a fast mech then on average your teams should have better success than teams where everyone is desperate to avoid the 10 point execution penalty.

100 matches is kind of hard to keep track of.

Match Points = (Kills × 10) + (Kill Assist × 20) + ((Damage Done - Team Damage) ÷ 15)

855 - team damage/15
All I can think is you did a lot of team damage.
Wasn't there, so Idunno.
Not big on Maths, but that would mean I would have done some 1300+ FF damage????
I will check but that is not very likely. Very careful not to shoot allies.
P.S. That 855 game did count.
It just isn't using the Tourney formula for end Match scoring? Not sure why but I show 4 Wins that count of 8 played. (phew, 1300+ FF damage would have been bad LOL)

I have during the entire series of the all those assits > kills events not have seen this behavior. because when people don't kill there will also be no assist, and you probably even die. So no idea where you pilots constantly meet these weird unlogically behaving individuals.
well had several cases of this today, one guy even told me in squad chat he didn't give a frak about the team and just ran in to get the max of assits hits and die to move to the next match ...
getting some very bad rounds tbh with teamwork having gone out the window, people not communicating nor listening when you spot the enemy under ecm coming in their flank.
At least with the "survive" varaible a while ago people actually had to work as a team to make it and thus learned the hard way ... right now its MCCCCCCC !!! and to hell with the rest. all that just to grind 20$ worth of MC

Why do you punish people for killing their targets? You can have 8 teammates each shoot a machine gun at a target, do 1-5 points of damage while you wail away with ACs. They each get 20 points each while you end up with 10. You essentially loss points for doing well. I could understand getting 10 points for a solo kill (i.e. your quad Gauss rifle assault 1 shoting a Locust) but you should get MORE points for team concentration fire with the killing blow (i.e. you get 30 [10+20] while your teammates get 20).
It's just sad that I had a great game, did 400 points of damage but I got 4 kills and 2 assists where I would have gotten a point for just the 6 assists.
I see this example as a huge problem. What another player stated was the firestarter suicide run. They run in, tag 7 targets and die. They quit the match and start another and hope their team wins. They spend 2 minutes in a game for a point while you do 10x more damage for 10 minutes and come up short on the assists for a point. That's why I do not like this formula at all.

only about $10.
This scoring formula met plenty of ridicule last time around, so it's weird that it's back all the same. Or maybe this is PGI's nasty commentary about how they view mercenaries?
