Wolverine - Feel like I am inside the cockpit of an old WW2 Iron Bird, like a Hurricane or Mustang.

You know, I've been meaning to make this thread myself, for the EXACT same reason. I love the Wolverine's layout. It does feel like your strapping into an old fighter.

Hunchback, because your otherwise great visibility is blocked by your MASSIVE CANNON!

I'd like the Orion more if the flatpanels were replaced with CRT screens. Hey, it's the oldest mech design in the game, 20 years after the Mackie IIRC. Give it that Aliens 80s tech vibe plz!

The Blackjack is... weird. It feels like you're strapped into one of those Drop Zone ride seats with a console and some glass in front of you.

No Quickdraw? :P

I put the Highlander and the Quickdraw in a statistical draw in my mind in terms of projecting the feeling of being in a war machine...

In 2nd I'd ante up the Awesome cockpit.

Which quite honestly I think is brilliant... It's about as horizontally unobtrusive as possible without having an invisible cockpit IMHO. ;)

IS: your mom
Clan: your gramma

Srsly though, I like the Dragon's cockpit - mostly because the hood out in front makes it feel like I'm driving a '77 Chrysler Newport Custom.

I don't drive clan mechs enough to have an opinion on them.

I love the Catapult and Timber Wolf/Hellbringer cockpits.

The Griffin one is nice for the jet fighter feel.

The Griffin has such a great cockpit. It's my favorite for sure.

Some other good ones are the Stormcrow and Victor

I'm thinking about finding a small tractor cab in a junkyard somewhere to make my own Hunchback inspired mech pit. :D

Catapult cockpit will always be one of my favorites. Nova and Kitfox cockpits are great as well.
And dragon cockpit; I've always loved that you can see the nose from the inside. Really boosts the immersion IMO

I find that kind of cockpit boring. While I kinda hate cockpits like the Locust and Firestarter, cuz they have bars everywhere, I find ones like the Awesome boring cuz there is nothing to look at. I like some bars in the cockpit to kinda give a feeling of being in a robot. Now if only a game could get the feeling of being 3 stories off the ground...no MW game ever gets that feeling right. I felt higher sitting in the cab of an 18 wheeler...

I always felt the Mad Dog should also have that feature.....to bad they had to go make the thing stand up straighter and chop part of it's nose off...

though I get why they did.

And if the MDD and TBR use the same legs, why dont they give the TBR and MDD more squat legs to begin with? Neither of those mechs are that tall..

I like Griffin's.
It comes with better air-conditioning inside. And do I detect a hint of minty freshness?

LOL, and oddly enough, I played a WWII Flight sim, IL2: 1946 Forgotten battles and in there is the German push-pull prop plane, DO335, the Arrow or Pfiel I think its called.. I felt like I was strapping into the cockpit of a Timberwolf flying that. It packed a wallop to, 2 20mm and 2 30mm cannons =D

Stalker and Catapult cockpits feel so familiar. Like home.

The Stalker is nice in how practical and spartan it is.

The Atlas however, man it feels like sitting in a luxury suite. Too bad the rest of the mech is pretty average

What, you don't like 50% of the screen being black when you set your FOV to 100 in a Shadowhawk?

well Its kinda cool seeing the sides of my skull, but not something that makes it easy to shoot.

The field of view in the Hellbringer's cockpit is great, but my favorite is the Kit Fox. It reminds me of the Bell Huey cockpits.
