I know the Jade Falcons have good reason to be angry with us, but we are doing what we have to in order to return to the front. It is possible that if Ridderkirk hadn't been taken, we might have been given an attack on Cusset or Colmar, which should have opened up attack vectors into Steiner for us. Buuuut... maybe not. Tonight we took a Ghost Bear world and dropped defensively on Jade Falcon's Chahar (primarily) and Smoke Jaguar's Diosd and Yardley (secondarily) against the IS quite successfully. My prediction is there will be a few more nights like this.

As for the matter of territory, that is likely an issue that leadership between our two clans will deal with.

Wingbreaker: Yeah, I heard the Houses are currently in a soft ceasefire with one another. However, it probably feels worse than it is because we can't take as much pressure off you guys. Even Ghost Bear doesn't have many attack vectors now, although they are also currently missing a huge chunk of their normal strength (their mercs and I've heard even some CGBI guys who have followed them temporarily). Well, if Ghost Bear's front collapses, that brings the Inner Sphere to us. Anyway, you're saying there are a lot of IS guys actively fighting the Clans right now, and that's *exactly* the tree we want to bark up!

Pat Kell: Thanks for the understanding. Unfortunately, we have very little control over what paths the algorithm chooses. It's possible that after we take this next GB planet, both our targets will be behind our current front. Hopefully not, though. In such a case, there's a high chance we'd target the GB planet.

We're actually considering that as an option. With the reformed Star League or whatever it is that's united against the Clans, we may (I say may because it hasn't been decided yet) pick up a role as supplemental defenders. We saw the situation on Chahar was looking pretty dire, so we focused our forces on defending that, in addition to other Clan's worlds. Gives us the Clan vs IS battles we've long not had in addition to giving much needed defense to the Clans under attack from the IS.

i am so excite for coming back to the clans in 4 days going to be so many fights and so many tears to collect and i look forward to fighting on wolfs side when we get back, it has been a great few weeks straight of fights with wolf and were going to have to sync drop a few games coming up to have some fun.

I for one would welcome them with open arms into Wolf. We've been fighting them since the start of CW. Would be a great thing to see the Wolves and Mercs team up to smash IS and Clan if need be.

Sigh. I have been part of the competitive scene for over 3 years now in MWO. GK is a competitive unit. WE knew something was up during those two matches. WE knew we were facing against some competitive players. It is a well known FACT that many competitive players have alt accounts. As to why exactly they were playing as Jade Falcons at the time, I can only guess.

You are funny if you think we would drop with you in the first place, no i want to drop with the players that have surprised us by how much they have changed there game and improved. Many wolves stated CW as avrage pugs and now are yo a point i would glady fight next to.

You know, as long as you harbour an arbitrary hate for mercs, you'll never actually have much success. Mercs are the lifeblood of CW, the faction that treats its mercs best, sees the widest success. Thats why Kurita is doing well, thats why Marik is doing well, thats why Liao is doing relatively well, thats why Steiner and davion have lost planets at every turn, and thats why smoke jaguar is falling apart at the seams.

It is possible, but do you see what it was like to only have 2 attack lanes because of the PGI algorithm? that's what it was in ghost bear when all this started, they had boarders with 2 IS factions and had no attack lanes. we had two choices attack a faction with no players or attack one of the larger factions in the game, guess what we took the one we would get fights.

this is what most of the sensible wolf units see now, MercSrar is in talks with many wolf units from all time zones and we look forward to dropping with them VS the up and coming IS push.

And you do not feel it is wrong that mercs control CW?

we drop on a daily basis with some mercs, and we have no issue with them, one of them is one i call a trothkin, and even one of our Star Colonels and other warriors of my unit were mercs previously. This Star Colonel in particular is a skilled tactician and pilot, and i enjoy dropping with him every time

No judgement here, I am simply pointing out that the assumption that Wolf players hate mercs for no reason is likely incorrect.

My only concern over MS paying Wolf a visit is them starting up a conflict with our allies that we are left to finish... but apparently there are Wolf units attacking North into Falcon space right now. So what the heck, come on over and we'll get into all sorts of trouble.

More against Hybrid Black and his constant provocation whenever he can against the Clan Wolf, you should have see him on the Clan Wolf forum at the start of the CW. Despicable, to not say worst.

Glad to drop with you Hybrid. Although hopefully by that time, we'll be dropping exclusively against IS. Right now is an ideal time for you to come over. Lots of fights to be had, which I know is what you guys want. But maybe it'd be a good idea to stop if we are above 40%, if it's another clan planet? :-P
