I'll stop picking the low hanging fruit with Bob, I'm sure his parting shot is coming.

He is not MS though nor is it fair to take his (generally very bad) opinion as such.

Reality is that MS, or any one group or unit isn't relevant to the nSL, save in how they work around them. When someone who is in CW because invasion game mode isn't in group queue or someone who plays online games just to screw with other peoples efforts comes along how will they deal with it?

I agree, boob is not MS. Though I must admit, if I were someone with authority and stake in MS, I would consider how he makes my group look by association.

Getting back on the topic at hand, the units that had this meeting politely asked us to GTFO, which is better then being kicked off the server, but not much better. You can argue semantics on it, and I do appreciate Roadbeer's kindness and diplomacy in handling it, but that is what happened.

Our only gripe with this is that we may have been interested in your proposal, but everyone assumed what we wanted and were going to do before we were given the chance to make a decision for ourselves after hearing the options being presented. We may have been persuaded to your cause, but now we will never know due to this new Star League's own choices in the matter. This may be due to our reputation, or simply the character of the units and people involved in the meeting in the first place. Who knows.

It wasn't as if this was some sort of super secret meeting or strategy session. The foundation of what you are doing is plainly stated at the beginning of this thread and was available for all to see.

What was done is done, and there is no way to change it, but this will not go unforgotten. That is not meant as a threat just a statement of fact, especially since Mercstar has parlayed with factions opposed to us with an open mind and heard them out which is quite unlike what just happened to us.

Either way, best of luck to this new Star League. We look forward to seeing how you grow and if it works out.

This was inevitable. nSL was a jimmy rustling idea out of the gate. Leave this one be, post a new one in 2 weeks that had the charter, goals, signatories and what oaths and obligations it entails.

All of the above units have up their individual tags and united under 1 banner, the MS banner. That's an alliance everybody gave up something to unify.

Show me the banner that marik unites under. Otherwise what you have is not an alliance...what you have is a CO-OP that will fall apart the second that units disagree because no one has equally invested "skin in the game"
