[Harper Steel]

I Know the idea of Clan unity has been hashed out and beaten to death.....However

with everything that has been said by the main Clan units and the Inner Sphere uniting against us should we the more enlightened make the GC have some teeth and elect an ilKhan that Clan units pledge to listen to..
I am only a lowly Wolf cadet so my words carry no weight but if the least of us can see this is needed should not our leaders see this too ?

Loremaster of the Clans: 1st aide to Ilkhan
Oathmaster of the Clans: 2nd aid to IlKhan

Your units just took Vulcan, after just taking Dell. Why should we listen to anyone from your Clan now?

Do not see this as being a viable option at the moment.

Clan Wolf has to fight CJF or CGB every ceasefire window if they want to get back to the Inner Sphere.

Clan Jade Falcon does not have the population to deal with CW, its own borders, and the borders of other clans.

Clan Smoke Jaguar barely has the population to deal with its Kurita border at the moment due to the influx of mercs'

Clan Ghost Bear is essentially down half if not more of its manpower thanks to a lot of mercs' leaving and taking some of their loyalists with them.


Clan are all under-populated and simply do not have the luxury of cooperating at this moment.

Yes. There is a civil war between the Clans active now and I see no way to stop it. I don t even care.

Well, Clan Wolf attack lanes only open into clan space, not IS. What exactly is it that you expect them to do? Just sit and defend or not play CW at all?

Don't need an Ilkhan to cooperate, CW and CJF are doing it now by having a nice little minor skirmish war in an effort to allow CW to regain access to the IS again. Once that is accomplished, we can all go back to smashing the IS. There, problem solved, move along, nothing to see here.

No need for ilkhan. A rep from each groups top ranked command getting together and talking about stuff is probably far more realistic then just saying "oh hey this guy is the arbiter of the clans now". Even then, that is more difficult cause mercs and random pugs and groups who dont care will just go "F#$% the police!"

The battles with Jade Falcon for Dell were truly Glorious and Have brought a huge amount of Honor and respect for the Warriors and Drop Commanders of Jade Falcon.

There is no shame or loss of Honor for the Falcons.

I know the Idea of an IlKhan is just that and Idea.. but the Leaders of the Various clan units are smart and honorable and have the communications already going,, there is a GC forums and have been meetings before
We have the infrastructure in place already..

but I am a lowly Clan Cadet and my words are not the words of my Clan but my own and not meant to cause any further discord within the Clans.

There is no need for an IlKhan. The IS is the enemy and that is who I am going to focus on. If CW needs to come through our space to get to the IS, so be it as long as they don't meander through our territory aimlessly. We need their numbers on the front line and I won't resist this unless they start getting crazy on our planets.
