Let's get one thing straight: you pose no threat to us and your continued survival is heavily supplemented by our generosity and patience. I couldn't care less about the star league, it was a terrible idea, but the principles behind it I do support.

However your continued arrogance and disrespect have me questioning those principles and make me wonder if I should just go back to caring about my faction only and not the Inner Sphere.

Just gonna quote this for posterity so every Kuritan who sees this can tell you to cram it up your ass and **** yourself, Marik Pig. This sort of thing is exactly what led to many misgivings about the star league in the first place.

  • An interesting wormhole deep into Kurita space is available to Marik
  • Marik and Kurita agree to experiment with the wormhole. Maybe it will lead to Clan space?
  • After several weeks, the wormhole simply expands in all directions and does not go north despite testing.
  • The Star League is discussed. Ratification should mean no more attacks between Marik/Kurita/Spheroids
  • During this time, the mercenary unit MS and Marik units continue to expand the wormhole in Kurita space.
  • Kurita declines entry into the new Star League as doing so would prohibit them from attacking fed rats (among other reasons)
  • Kurita also decides that the wormhole project is no longer acceptable as too many Kurita worlds have been taken by Marik than expected/agreed upon
  • Some elements of Marik react in surprise when Kurita wants back the worlds taken around the wormhole and state that this will lead to war between their factions. They then threaten Kurita to withhold support on the clan border and accuse Kurita of being arrogant and disrespectful. And Marik is supposed to be the good guys in all this (pushed for the Star League/NAPs).
Did I miss anything?

How about the fact that we've planned this from the beginning, and that by March, Luthien will be ours?

Illithi Dragon proposed the Star League. Various units said yes, others no. MS took this opportunity (through malice or coincidence) to attack everyone around Marik except for Liao.

I want to give Kurita its worlds back. I honestly don't care about them. We plan to give Davion and Steiner the MS worlds back too. But a lot of Kuritan members seem to think they're the sole ones who are saving their own faction where the facts clearly state that we loaned them two very good mercenary groups and our players' time.

This is because they managed to turn the Davion front into their favor, and now seem to think themselves invulnerable honoribru warriors. I don't take exception with them wanting their worlds back, and I don't care about their participation in the star league. I do care about their lack of appreciation for what we've done to assist them.

You whine and threaten all day long and then you're like 'oh no i don't want anything from you, take your worlds, i just want credit for everything good that happens to Kurita. and if I don't get it, there will be trouble for the dragon.' man what are you even doing here? Just stop. I have no idea what you've done or havent' but I'll assume you've dropped on kurita's clan borders at some point in your life. great. If you don't want to drop on Kurita borders anymore no one cares, though.

Marik generously 'gave' Kurita mercenary units to assist on the clan borders without actually establishing a diplomatic trade agreement beforehand. Then when Kurita declined to join the Star League and was excited and motivated by their recent gains along their borders, they were called arrogant and disrespectful.

Perhaps next time Marik wants to 'give' another faction support, they should offer the support as part of a deal, not threaten to take away the support if their associate does not agree to their alliance. I find that method of diplomacy works much better.

Have you not read their posts in Davion?

I think if I took the time to actually count them there'd literally be dozens of posts with not really particularly vague threats along the lines of "if you don't support the star league we'll withdraw our support and u wont like what happens next", some of them by people as "important" as roadbeer.

There's also the fact that roughly everyone outside of Kurita who reads these forums has gotten the impression that HK is staffed mostly by lonely-IRL-thus-pompous-to-the-point-of-being-verbally-abusive-here jackasses who snub allies and enemies, casually in the case of the former and in the latter case in ways that come intriguingly close to violating the ToS. Don't forget that one, Derv.
