Point: I'm gonna do me. You trolls do you. We'll disagree, we'll butt heads, I will judge you for your words and actions, and then we'll go shoot humongous mecha for fun.

Whats funny is, I've been reading this at work all day and I laughed out loud several times at Dear Coordinators honorable servants and had rather strong feelings of "this dudes a passive aggressive troll" when reading your stuff.

One mans cheeky humor is another mans bullying and another mans righteous indignation is that first mans passive aggressive manipulation.

Over the top ridiculous insults and RP flavored trash talk = funny to me.
Reserved semi respectful argument = corporate bullshit that turns my stomach and makes me feel like I'm at work.

In defense of Valar, the reason he left is because the FS leadership fell apart and couldn't agree on anything. Leave him alone guys, he's a bad enough dude to save the president.

We're going to respond back to anything said to us when it's in the House Kurita section of the forums. If he wants to be left alone, he can troll somewhere else.

Or a unit code of conduct for that matter.

I now hold Socop in high esteem for his enlightened leadership. A gold star for you sir.

It's just who I am, man. I'm either the world's most diplomatic guy with a shotgun, or I'm hitting you over the head with the stock. There's an in-between, but you have to know me, or at least drop with me a few times to see it. I believe what I believe, I find funny what I find funny, and I stand up to what I perceive as bullying. /shrug

this is really all i honestly think

must be some crossed wires at some point because i don't think any of us would begrudge someone for being new. yeah someone might get roasted for having arm lock on or a clownsuit mech fit but if you can look past the lmao none of us are going 'you should quit' i think. maybe. i dunno, this is too many serious words for kuritan royalty

Eh, I mostly get where your jabs come from. I don't claim to understand you at all, but I get that you don't actively *want* people to quit, I just think you should be careful about discouraging people. Mind your words like 5% of the time. If your needling encourages someone to try something new and it makes them better...I'd have done it differently, but I can't argue with results. If it makes someone mad and they stop playing...then I just have to read their topic about how we all suck and our game sucks and our moms suck and PGI sucks and stop having fun guys, I hate this game.

Again, I get it, but there have been at least a few who didn't, and I regret they gave up so soon because they got the impression our community was the LoL community.

Hey, common ground. This isn't the name I was looking for either, and my 1st choice was taken by some inactive nutsack as well.

EVERY SINGLE PVP COMMUNITY IS THE SAME.

Caps intentional, for super-emphatic emphasis. I've never, in all my travels, encountered a PvP community that any rational, normalized, first world human would consider benign and pleasant.

When in Rome and all that.

edit: I should add with some exceptions in TS.

I never found ESO to be particularly abrasive, though admittedly it was and is relatively small. For that matter, back in my WoW days there were a few try-hards who would ride you for sub-par gear, but it was on the whole, at least on the server I played on, fairly amicable.

Tribes in its various iterations always was a pretty good community, and I was good enough at 2 to have played with some of the lesser competitive guys, who were never short of helpful or sportsmanlike.

Again, these are my own experiences, and some may have more to do with the kind of people I attract and the lack of major out-of-game forums in the early days, but they *are* my experience.

What's unpleasant is the insults recieved over the Smoke Jaguar push into Kuritan space. Way too often we get this same, tired, uninformed sentiment that Kurita 'ran away' from the border. The truth is, from someone in NS, we were torn. We wanted to play against the clans, all the time. We knew that if we dropped against Smoke Jaguars, we had an extremely good chance of a 48-24 victory and making 500,000 c-bills per pilot in 20 minutes. It was free money but it wasn't going to get us a planet or anything. Occaisionally, we'd do it for fun and sometimes we'd be able to successfully defend a world. Not re-take but slow down the assault. Trust me on this, if the clans actually did take a planet every single ceasefire back then, the map would look very different right now. There was no running away from anything. We stood our ground as best we could and we lost worlds anyway. Kurita was disorganized and low-attending. You have to exist in the first place in order to flee from anything. Night's Scorn and seldom few other units simply hadn't the numbers. There was a collective decision made to take what we had and do the most we could with it. You could even say that we were experiencing back then the same disparity that House Davion is experiencing now. Is House Davion running away? They want to fight but it won't get them any worlds. When Kurita defends itself against these insults, we have people like Stealth Raptor explaining very plainly the logical decisions we find ourselves forced to make. Yet it keeps on coming, like nobody listens. Nobody seems to have noticed we're gaining grounds against the clans too. Luthien freed? That was several days ago. Oh well. Rant over.

PerfectDuck, people have noticed (the intellectually honest ones anyway) that Kurita is a rising PvP power. I noticed the first night you guys broke the Luthien Blockade. The meme that Kurita continues to "run away" is all part of forum PvP. Let it roll off your back like a perfect duck.

Besides, NKVA is always around to promote the values of Dear Coordinator, and to assure everyone of their eventual destruction. I have to admit I laughed my balls off at the Kentares IV Dear Coordinator Memorial posts.
