Why were the entire weapons systems changed after pilots earned and purchased modules, mechs, and bays based on the PGI quirks? What will be done to recompense the pilots who have done so and have been ripped off by these unannounced changes?
Please don't ignore this question, many of us have spent a lot of time and money working from the info provided, it's not as though the just the quirk rates changed, you changed the entire weapons systems making everything we spent wasted.

Your proposed "fix" would not fix anything you just listed. Even with a 1/1/1/1 restriction per player, every person could still bring a light and a Thunderbolt. That would mean that every group of 12 people could still bring 12 lights for the light rush and 12 Thunderbolts for the Tbolt rush. If you are talking about a Clan rush, we use a Timber Wolf (heavy) and a Storm Crow (medium), so it would also not change anything in our rushes...

Why would they? They said earlier that quirks may be changed. You never spent real money on the weapons, modules, or mechs and bays can always be reused.

Does PGI own the license or interesting in pursuing that license (or any other mechwarrior digital rights)?

1) Can we please have more variety in challenges? I want to see different requirements, maybe some that are more suited towards this game. Here is my total response but I'll sum it up: So I think since we have the challenges and the achievements, we can sorta combine em. We can still have the time limited factor, but I think instead of grind grind grind, the motivation should be higher (i.e. enough MC for a free player, maybe even free mechs). There should also be more (hence the name challenge, not a grind but more of a handful of demonstrative games that would take the same amount of time as those 50 matches like last time.) These can also help promote training/being better. Of course it's PGI's choice to do what it wants; it can choose the time limits or the loadouts or the set requirements. Just don't make it time limited and force us to Death Star in an Urbie. I'll give some examples:
A(1)) Urbanmech (preset loadouts) challenges:
-Kill two mechs solo (get solo kill c-bill reward) in one game. (could be like 5-10 if it was a weekend challenge or something).
-Kill one mech in a backward stance (i.e. head turned 180 degrees backwards to shoot the enemy). (same as above).
By preset loadouts I mean maybe like a champion set variant. Like maybe pick between AC20 + multiple SPLs variant vs 4xMGs + LPL config. Que in these mechs basically.
Rewards can be getting the specific variant that you won, or maybe an Urbie statue, or maybe some 360 torso retention, or something like that. Maybe up the challenge requirements. These can be time limited or not.
B(2)) Mordor (er I mean Terra Therma) challenges:
-Hold center (have 9+ of the team go to center) and win the match. (5 matches maybe).
-Flank outside and win the match without losing more than 6 mechs. But you must be able to take out all mechs trying to complete hold center challenge. (Same as above 5).
Que for this map for the challenge during the time limit or if there is not then just queing or it could be just hope you get it.
Rewards could be like a Mordor thing or something similar. Maybe free Hot Rod camo?
2) Can we have weapon families instead of specific weapons that drastically change the mech's loadout possibilities and limit a mech too much in terms of boating etc? For example Thunderbolt 9S wouldn't be stuck with ER PPCs but also with other long range sniping combat weapons, like PPCs, ER LLs, AC2s, AC5s, etc. This would actually diversify builds although they may be the same purpose or niche in the battlefield. Or Firestarters get a niche small arms quirk for MGs, flamers, small/small pulse lasers, medium/medium pulse lasers, etc. This would diversify boating to a different level and maybe change it up with mixed lasers and flamers/mgs thrown to the mix. Make the customization aspect better; don't leave out some possible builds and give each mech the right to have a niche, even the Clan ones!
I'm wishing for a response; if you guys at the NGNG would like to cut parts of the example (i.e. not read the entire paragraph or cut examples off, etc) then that is perfectly fine.
Edit: 3rd question:
3) Would you (PGI) be willing to change champions/trials to top-tier updated mechs that have all the greatness (supported by quirks, top-tier modules, unlocked up to master level)? I think to have new players stay they need to be allowed full access to what would be unlockable in the game, and get used to what may be strong and what they personally would want. Some trials are bad, like the 6xLPL Banshee. PGI ask yourself if you would want to walk into this game and play that as your first match. Would you like it? Same as XL LRM boat Stalker. Make the mechs more compliant to the meta and allow new players to at least learn the ropes a bit better (keep same variants). Also add access to each and every trial in order to let newer players really try EVERYTHING before moving in to buy a mech, both Clan and IS (please update Clan trials too). Ask yourself PGI if you'd like to play these trials and you would like to play it for at least the first week or two in the game.

That way, people who want to play customized 'mechs can do so. This opt in would not change playing customized 'mechs in CW of course. Those matches would be uneffected.
My contribution to the questions pool. Thanks for your time and for doing this.
