I always drop first in my Adder in CW. I use 4 MPL and I regularly get 800-1000 damage in it before I die. In a match with so many targets, it's easy to hide behind other mechs and get free shots off.

People say the adder is bad, because they use it like their IS lights, and thats not working. And lights were not supposed to be to run at hitreg cheating 150kph with laods of spl's making damage numbers above what should be possible this easily.
Too many stick within their known habits, which restricts them to fail too often instead of trying it diffferently.

thats whats broken with many lights: some are one mech shows, which they shouldn't be.

hunting fs9's works well, because they mostly focus on the big boys, would they instead try to take out your adder they could easily do so. But their greed for the big prey is their doom :P

For my build:
1 ER-ML in my left and right arms
1 ER-SL in my center torso
1 AMS + 1 ton of ammo in my left torso.
1 20LRM + 3 tons of ammo in my right torso.

It works pretty well for me.
