I for one hate the fact im forced to use jump jets, in every mw game I tossed them in the trash, I shouldn't be forced to use them, they could be consider for blue slots only or at very least ammo or heat sink, that wouldn't be so op? would it?

I feel ashamed because I got to be a sucker and bought the Executioner pack. I told myself I'd exercise restraint, only getting 1-2 of the mechs.

I slowing convinced myself that I wanted the Ebon Jaguar, then told myself I absolutely didn't need the Executioner. Then I bought the Executioner last night because, "It's only $30."

I think I need to go to mech rehab.

They will 100% be fixed. It's only 3 tons, so you'll have 8-9 left over. More than enough for Clam tech weapons, like 6xSPL for an astonishing 36 low duration damage, and with better range. Forget the FS9-A. We've got more damage per strike, ECM, and ****-loads of JJ. Not to mention majic-clam XL engines. The only thing the FS9 will have on it is the option of 7.5 more kph and better heat efficiency. We'll see how the hitboxes turn out.

It'll be like everything the Mist Lynx wished it could be, only better.

I also forgot to mention that because the Cheetah has a XL240, it will be more heat efficient than the Lynx. The Lynx only has a XL175 with 7 true DHS, while the XL240 has 9.

The exact same weapon loadout on the Lynx will run cooler on the Cheetah, even without extra heatsinks.

You forgot one important thing, the caveat...

...the Cheeto will never be as cute as the Lynx. Or the Kit! xD

That's true... I love the Lynx model. It's one of the best in the game, especially the Invasion model.

One caveat to the heat however, is that two of the Lynx arms have 5% lower energy weapon generation, so it will run very similar to the Cheetah with 4xSPL. They may give the Cheetah quirks however, so that's to be seen.

That's irrelevant however, because no one in their right mind would run only 4xSPLs on the Cheetah when they can run 6x.

I can also see people doing 2xERLL with ECM. It'll run similar to a 2xERLL raven, only with jumpjets and better range. Clamtech, yo.

I agree with you Bishop.

I would like to see all mechs use the jump table PGI has setup for medium mechs, Then it might be worth dedicating those 2 tons per JJ on the assaults that re jump capable.

Yes please redo jumpjets.


I don't care if you have to try a "skill" based system (By skill based I mean say a Highlander gets a special skill when equipped with JJ's that you bind to a key, press it and you can actually perform DFA's properly etc , however it has a cooldown etc. ) or attempt to copy MW:LL, or re-do them totally from the ground up.


Try something tho. :)

I have to say i have gone off jump jets because of the changes the only thing i was using them for in my heavies and assults was getting over the odd root or rock.

But i am worries that i see MASC but no indication as to how that is going to be after it is in or if it will be made useless by nerfs shortly after being implanted. They have said that their game can't handle the fastest mech speeds why add masc then the 2nd wave of clan mech had STUPIDLY slow speeds compared to what they should have had not to mention from memory some of them had MASC as well on some variants at least. This coupled with now useless JJs mean what should be a rapid moving fight has slowed to a crawl,.

GIVE us some speed and some Good jump jets guys come on it should not be too much to ask a mech game that feels like i am piloting a mech not a brick (well unless i am in my atlas then i am in a brick).
