i know i had someone complain when the screen shake was 1st introduced

What you so callously dismiss as "whining" was a real problem for quite a number of people, including myself. As someone who uses JJ-equipped lights like there is no tomorrow, that initial implementation of screen shake induced something I would rather not experience again.

Makes sense to me. High center of gravity would make climbing hills difficult. Crabs are short and flat and gargs are tall and top heavy. Executioner will be tall and top heavy.

It will be a fine mech, due to 13 energy hardpoints, but only for the early birds.

I'll only get the first three mechs due to not needing a 95 tonner for CW. If it was an 80 or 85 tonner, I'd probably get it.

the other reason I have trouble getting interested...how many different shapes of laservomit can I run as a Clanner? Getting as boring as the old poptart and ppcboat days.

I already know I'm going to LOVE a 95 ton mech that goes 95KPH, I dont care about the JJs I also came up with plenty of loadouts that will work quite well.

I do seriously wish the Gargoyle wasnt a huge movement size though, totally hinders its agility.

Well, I am purchasing the Cauldron Born level. Wave II only had my Hellbringer and did not purchase anything from Wave II ($55 for 3 mechs is too much for me a la carte). Wave III has my Shadow Cat and Cauldron Born so will be buying.

Well, in my defense, never in my wildest dreams did I foresee that playing video games was more physically demanding than years of stunt flying aerobatic model planes and helicopters. :o

I have trouble investing more cash into the game because I got burned early on with my Heavy Metal. I always loved the Highlander since my tabletop days and the first (and only) Hero mech I purchased was the Highlander. After the JJ nerf and the intro of better more powerful Mechs, the Highlander was just a bear to play. Slow, lumbering, mediocre firepower for it's class. Of course the other purchase I got nailed with was the Spider 5K Champion (JJ and machine gun nerf). Both mostly sit around gathering dust now.

Why pay real money for something if they reach in after and change what you purchased?

Thus the dilemma faced by PGI. Screen shakes will work but only at levels where discomfort for many is a real thing. No game should cause a player discomfort, that would be simply silly.

It has been said so many times, there has to be a technical reason why is has not been done.

"When a Mech engages its Jump Jets, its weapon systems become dis-engaged until grounded again."

It just seems easy to do. Jets on Guns Off, and prevents Pop tarting 100%, the "cause" of the current poor JJ performance. Any allowed ability to fire while in the air will be abused and then complained about.

Just turn off the weapons system when the JJ button is HIT. JJ are meant for movement.

At least PGI do a POLL and see what everyone has to say about that possibility or tell us why it can't be done Tech side.

and totally screws light and medium flankers who often need to shoot on the way in and out.

There is a reason we have reticle shake now, instead of screen shake. Let's use it so everybody benefits.

Reticule shake only lasts while JJ are engaged. So those Mechs (Lights and mediums) who get "good flight performance" can already jump and shoot on their way In and Out. Why do we tolerate the ****** performance for those who pay gross amounts in tonnage costs to try and get some "good performance" as compared to those other weight classes?

Is it the ability to amass more, or to much, firepower? If so, give those who pay heavy weight costs less reticule shake. base it on the movement profile for the weight classes perhaps.

Unfortunately, that kills jump brawling. I like fighting in 3 dimensions as opposed to just 2.

Well as long as some get what they want, it is all good then. To bad not all Brawler Mechs get JJ at all. :(

For curiosity sake, which weight class(es) do you predominantly Jump Brawl in?

That reminds me a fighter plane sim I used to play where I couldn't get the hang of landing so at the end of every mission I would just eject over my air base/carrier. It always let me complete the missions that way, but it really enjoyed pointing out in the summary screen all the money I was costing the US government having to replace my plane for every mission. 18 Trillion nation debt wasn't government overspending it was me. :D
