Whether you appreciate community run leagues or not, the problem is still there. The pings are getting ridiculous at some point especially in the lobbies perhaps because of lower server priority. We are talking about >200ms pings here. The symptoms are for example projectiles going thru enemies, lasers not registering and has to be lead for quite alot for moving mechs and damage applying over a second from when it was shot because of delays in HSR.

And one thing that pisses us off is that PGI refuses to put up EU servers even though they stated that they could do it right now if they wanted. Explanation being might cause some divide in playerbase and *shrug* higher pings for NA players.

Funny stuff.

@Dock Steward
In principle you are right but i think PhoenixFire55 just wants to make a general point.
It's just a huge blunder that PGI is not able to provide flawless gameplay. This includes frequent laggissues and bugs that should not be there in the first place.
It's just a farce that in approximately 1/4 of all League drops we need to hold down since someone is dropping out of the lobby...

Instead of throwing out new Mechpackages every two months they should just fix the damn gameplayissues.

You're not very up to date. Last week had a big Internet miff between China and US. MWO took the fallout.

It's even up there on the top of this forum:

There is no reason except perceived loss of $$$ and control that leagues could not have their own hosted servers like back in the old days. This would mitigate congestion and even Internet issues if planned out well. But we can Thanks WOW for this OUR SERVERS ONLY mentality.

Is it possible to watch these sort of things?

I would love to see (when there are not issues with bugs and internet lag) skilled players engaging in come great combat and tactics.

It would be great to have a lobby we would watch from.

A "competitive" player whining that PGI isn't listening to them?

I play in leagues too. I don't expect that my doing so gives me any more right to ***** at the devs. I agree, hit reg can be a problem at times, and issues in matches can be frustrating, but I've also had to reschedule games because of client issues. It happens. No reason to come into the forums and start acting like an ass.

Edit: Just wanted to be clear, I meant the OP, not you.

Your stance as a competative player and how important your non event leagues are are a joke,

And the casual player spends just as much or more, as i'm sure they draw data as to where the paying playing player base is.

your problem is your delsuional as to how important u think u are, when your such a small % you mean nothing

Sorry but THIS.

All I read is ...bohooo...I'm competetive...respect ma authoriteyyyy....bohooo....

Trolls, so many trolls...

Anyway, I don't understand why the game crashes is not the devs top priority for fixing. Even devs themselves were crashing constantly in their group drops. It's the most crashing game I ever played for decades.

Sure, same devs farm money off you while not providing a quality product and I'm being an ass pointing it out. Sure ... whatever.

Over the weekend, I had an absolutely terrible hitreg event. A yellow legged Cicada dancing around the WubShee. WUBWUBWUB into the legs, 58 damage is more than enough to remove the 30 max IS of the Cicada, yet this yellow structure didn't even change shades after 120 damage.

A single alpha should have removed both legs, but that didn't happen.

Of course, the next round I one-shotted a Firestarter of all things. Hitreg is hit and miss, as it always has been.

New to the MMO world I see. WoW wasn't the first MMO around, and they didn't set the 'our game, our servers only' mentality that all MMOs have, that was being done by EQ and UO before WoW.

There's a simple reason for that, and it's not only money, it's to keep the game the same for ALL players regardless, since the server is run by the company and not private individuals, who have been known to do things to alter how the game plays to benefit themselves and screw others over. People made private WoW servers, always a fun place to go and see how badly players can and will screw each other over.

WoW has leagues, so do other MMOs on the market, sometimes supported by the game makers but usually not. You play this game, you accept that this is how it is. Or are you the guy that walks on a baseball diamond with a basketball and complain that there's no hoop?
