Except reverse joints actually work different, especially MECHANICAL joints.
You might know biology..but let those of us that have a background in mechanical engineering, and or machining, have our mere pittance of due alright?
I would have gladly kept biology out of it. I wasn't the one who mentioned it, because it was beyond the scope and convoluted.
But people get on wikipedia and somebody(anybody on the internet really) drops a line with a couple big biology words in it
"This type of articulation resembles a bird's legs, hence the name. However, birds actually have forward-facing knees; they are digitigrade, and what most call the "knee" is actually the ankle"
And everybody preaches it like the gospel.
There is no such thing as a reverse knee. Now if that is some sort of mechanical lingo for a special kind of leg design fine. But its not, its wikipedia lingo, written about a science fiction topic. Knee is a biology term. And there is simply no such thing as a reverse knee. What we have on these mechs most resemble ankles.
