Sorry to have to break it to you, but that picture I posted? Rifleman loadout. 2xAC/5, 2xLL, 2xML.

Mine's the 2 PPC, 2 AC5 version. Are the PPC barrels still lengthened?

Not impressed with the Jagers, they already mostly had different models for the different weapons to start with. Really, it's mostly the AC2/5s that they, well, butchered. But the 2/5s look terrible on everything that they've redone recently.

I think they might be trying to save storage space by reusing assets like that, but they need to stop and tailor each weapon for each mech. Stick with Alex's concepts, they're better.

To make it more clear for feedback if PGI gets through here: The only thing gained by using the same ugly weapons on every single mech is the ill will of your players/customers. Not satisfied at all.

Edit: That's on Win7. YMMV.

Hm.. it's empty, Win7, used to have a lot of screenshots back when it was in the game folder. Thanks for the help in any case.

That would take... A insane amount of time and.. yeah..massive footprint, always increasing...

It is either one or the other i would guess... Maybe they will make another pass in a year or two.

FFS, PGI.

Stop destroying the beautiful 'mechs with your ridiculously bad lego-style "dynamic geometry"!

I just had a look at my Firebrand (2xAC/5, 2xLL) - it looks like an AMPUTEE!

LOOK AT IT!

(Screenshot)

Bloody hell, this was the concept art:

(Art)

BIG, LONG BARRELS. Not tiny, tiny nubs and sticks.

NOT. TINY. NUBS. AND. STICKS!

That comparison is painful. The jager already had ballistic mounts that reflected the loadout and they looked good, this is a bizarre re-cancering. It's is almost too incompetant, I want to assume it's spiteful instead.

Funny how weapons that weight 10-20% of the mech's total weight look so tiny.

UAC5s seem to have fared better (have these changed? I can't remember)

Here's some Jagers post patch:

JM6-A
Spoiler

JM6-DD
Spoiler

Firebrand
Spoiler

Seems that the bigger ballistics go to the lower, torso most mount in the arms by default (no matter what I did, the big ballistics always went there). Missiles go from outer to inner, regardless of size.

Huh, bizarre. They've done an astonishingly poor job of this. Those AC5s and 2s in particular are ridiculous.

Guessing PGI gave a bunch of interns the stock weapons models and pointed them at the Jager and Cataphract while the lead modelers were working on mech packs. Really feels like these pieces were just duct-taped on with little to no thought given to their context or aesthetic.

Holy crap! My Jager has TRex arms!!!!

And good golly, the ac5/2 barrels look sillier than the stubby ones in the original concept art!

Yup, saw this coming from a mile off. Every mech they have given this "pass" to ends up neutered and hideously scarred for life. Someone call the ASPCA, or its Canadian equivalent.

Catapult gets VCR's, Centurion got de-wanged, Raven lost his muzzles, Jaeger has been castrated hilariously, Cataphract has needle-**** syndrome, weapons on the Banshee are applied willy-nilly, the Mist Lynx has mega-roided-out-Popeye arms Stormcrow and Mad Dog suffer from tiny arm disease, Timby gets quadruple-chins for its' extra launchers...

Need I go on?
