Wow, just wow. People got all bent out of shape regarding PPCs when the firestarter was released, because the scaling was just all over the place. Then PGI listened, said they'd fix it so that from then on, all weapons would be scaled equally on all mechs. They haven't done all the mechs, so this scaling pass is only applied to newer released or re-released chassis. Naturally, once you make the call to make each weapon the same size for all mechs, it will break the old look, with it's arbitrary sizing. I'm surprised and disappointed at all the people getting upset at the Jaeger, doesn't this help you? Smaller hitboxes, smart placement of missiles on the -A (unlike catapult) and 2nd pair of torso weapons higher and closer together.

Not to mention the laser nipples on a box...elegant...I fear for the day they get their hands on my stalker...

Has anyone checked out the LRM situation on these two mechs?

Jagermech-A has two LRM20 rack arms now.

Cataphract-2X has a LRM20+LRM15 rack arm now.

I've been approving of a lot of things PGI has done lately. They've been making good calls, interacting with the community, and getting things done.

However, I continue to be stunned how they can take something as conceptually cool as variable geometry and make it something to be dreaded and reviled.
