Yeah, I don't think the Arctic Cheetah will be very good.

The only good light mechs are ones with quirks that make them good. Clan tech is going to run hotter, be hotter (1.4 dubs).

The Arctic Cheetah running 4xC-MPL will generate: 37 heat for 32 damage with a heat threshold of 64.32 and cool @2.71hps.

3 Alpha's for 96 damage before needing to cool down or split laser groupings to 16 damage each. In a sustained fight against another light, you will never cool off and be able to use all 4 C-MPL's again.

The FS9-S running 4xMPL will generate 16 heat for 24 damage with a heat threshold of 63.36 and cool @2.62hps.

16 Alpha's for 384 damage before needing to cool down or split laser groupings to 12 damage each. In a sustained fight against another light, you can easily cool off and be able to use all 4 MPL's again. (This is also with a 12% cooldown reduction for MPL's because unlike the Arctic Cheetah, you won't just overheat faster by using it)

What's also good to note:

Arctic Cheetah: 96 damage, 5.7s, max heat

Firestarter: 96 damage, 7.5s, 12 more alphas till max heat

So if you're looking at the Arctic Cheetah as the Clans savior light mech, I got news for you.

It has hardpoints to use Smalls and SPLs effectively, unlike all other light Clams. Also moves faster.

It will be the best Clam light without a doubt. Top three total, even if the hitboxes wind up being rather terribad.

Still 11 Alphas until overheat. While you should be able to beat another light in that many Alphas, it's not guaranteed you'll start a fight fresh. It'll also move at Panther speeds, not Firestarter speeds. Best of the clans, without a doubt.

No, it moves 142.

It will be the best. There is no doubt, I'm not sure where your argument is coming from.

All your MPL math is wrong; and a poor choice of weapon with only 8 tons of pod space.

I really don't get why people want to nerd clams so bad. It's not like there hard to kill. They're suppose to be difficult. But they'd not impossible. The timber is crunchy when it has ears. Makes crippling it easy. The hell ringers the hard one I feel. Been killed by more hellbringers then timbers
