Bishop, if you're still not loving the 6T, give this a shot:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...444045322d4a9b8

This is a public queue mech...not so much a CW utility mech.

Even if your team isn't packing LRM's, throwing narcs on ECM mechs is never a bad idea...and chances are SOMEONE has a couple lrms in a pug match.

HAH! I run something just like that:

This is my 6T build:

Jokes aside, if you see me and are focusing on me instead of a teammate near me, I've already failed my job as a Locust pilot. Our job is to whittle away at the wounded wildebeests and then run like hell if spotted. Once you understand and accept that your lot in life is to run away, Locust pilots are much better warriors.

Warriors. Of running away. Or something.

Have not touched Zeus yet, still figuring the point of Grasshoppers, so far only the 5H was useful.

I know this is a Zeus thread, but gonna drag the Enforcer into it since I haven't touched my Zeus yet. Is it just me, or is the 5P garbage? I love the other two, but I can't for the life of me find a decent build for the 5P.

For your consideration.

eh...that's a 6S build, GB. I love my 6S already. It's Spr1ggan that needs a happy 6S. I'm just trying to find a happy 6T, though my SRM6 brawler one i'd OK. (Loses that arm mighty fast though, lol)

LOL Bishop, sorry! My coffee is still settling in. For the 6T I run the Hellboy.

Yeah, I know. No artemis. Doesn't matter. This thing is an absolute BLAST to play with...though I DO feel like when I run out of ammo I should be able to use that ENORMOUS right hand to hit things like a club.

45 tubes. One giant sick salvo. I love it. 100% fun. NOT for CW, lol. Too much ECM. Pugs? It's great...enough speed to position effectively and enough missiles to make pugs cry. :)

You have to pay for switching between upgrades dont you, ala Standard Guidance and Artemis, even if you've already bought them once right?

Otherwise I'd try out the 3 LRM15 build

You do...but a downgrade is all of like, 175,000 C-bills. So, a drop in the bucket. Give it a try!

Terrible with all dem lurms.

You're just lucky it has the lower arm actuator.. if ever removed, it would have ALL TEH LURMS (max lurm build is 20, 15, 15).

That arm though... what the hell.

6R and 9S performing so much better after getting tweak. The brawler T though still meh. Getting such ****** reg with the srms. Just had a game on tourmaline. Come across an enemy raven that's basically just staring me down and has lost all armour on both legs. 1 leg yellow internals and the other cherry red. I fire srms into the legs as he stares me down, and fire, and fire, and fire. He still has both legs and has now shot my missile arm off...

As a general rule, SRMs tend to go right through light mechs at facehugging ranges. It's one reason they hug.

Gauss rifles do not.

**** it i'm gxping the 6T and shelving it. Playing brawlers is an exercise in frustration when every drop your team just want to camp in a stupid position and get their heads stomped in.

Maybe try a longer range build on your 6T if youre finding it hard to get into SRM range with it

Can't do much about Lights facetanking though

Unless you put Streaks on it just to deal with them

3 Large Lasers, 3 LRM-5 with Artemis, XL350 engine so that you can reposition quickly.

Works very well for me, and avoids the problems that you describe with brawler builds. I get a LOT of kills by chain firing the LRM-5s, and if something closes within minimum range I switch the lasers to chain fire as well.

I don't even run Advanced Target Decay with this Mech, as I find that Radar Derp is more useful. I'm not LRMming unless the target is in LOS, so for me the LRMs are effectively a ballistic arc Clan ER-PPC of sorts.
