Thanks Russ, thanks PGI.

I know you thought I was punking you by pushing Urbie so hard and long.... but...I think the results speak for themselves. I'm having ALMOST as much fun as I did in CB. And what's more, I am actually being effective (well, for me, in a Light, anyhow).

Nowadays you can usually find me in my Hunchback, Centurion, or my ghetto Deputy Dawg. And everytime I see other Urbies in game, I just get all giddy feeling. Ain't no feeling like taking out the Trash in your own personal Trashcan.

So thanks.

Who else is one of the Urbie faithful, or a convert?

Where do Urbies hang out anyway? I broke my 3 week fast and played few games yesterday but did not see any Urbies.

In the 3 matches I've done so far tonight, I saw 7 total

This is a thank you thread, actually, TYVM. ;)

And it was one too many Urbie thread and Urbie tweet that finally pushed Russ to giving me my Urbie.

I like Kitfoxes. They taste like Chicken. Usually run away like them too when they realize Urbie pwns em.

we know. ask him for closed beta quality graphics, battletech style heatscale penalties. and a new collision system.

I do enjoy having the urbie in the game. I did not buy them, but seeing them on either team is a good laugh. I wish they were a little more speed restricted, but the flavor is there.

I'm asking.... well for those, delayed convergence and a Mackie.

In one of our drops yesterday I looked up and saw we had TWO Urbies on our team....and of course I announced the fact to our enemies.

- We could not lose.

- Nor did we.

Urbie - FTW!!!!

Only got 3 matches in tonight due to bad connection. Only one in my Urbie (4MG, Mlaser/LPL). I died. But I held up half their team for about 5 minutes (had 2 other Lights with me, including another Urbie), did 475 dmg and got a kill, while coring out 3 other mechs. Then our team moved in and cleaned them up FTW.

When I am in my Urbanmech I keep thinking "Only Urbie can kill Urbies." I've had this proved amusingly right on several occasions. Best one, I am on top the Citidel in River City in my UM-R63 and a KGC that I keep dumping UAC/5 and ML fire into finally gets fed up when I open up his center and left rear torsos. He blows my left leg off. No big deal I am in an Urbie anyway. I keep peeking and peppering anything that pops up. Finally, with a yellow CT I drop down into the passageway and with only 1 leg cannot get back up. Another Urbie I had been taking pot shots at comes to finish me off. I take his left torso and XL by the time he pushes both center and left torso to light red. He is followed by a Timber Wolf I had been harassing too. The TW had a red LT and yellow RT. He alphas (and is fortunately out of SRMs), I twist away, then twist back to take his LT. He alphas again and I twist again, but this time he overheats, so I double tap like my life depends on it. Annnd... the Ultra jams. The TW begins to start back up when the Ultra unjams and my ML cycle and his RT goes pop. I am now cherry red on all three torsos. An MG UM-R60L rounds the north corner and all I can think is "Oh ****..." before I die. Had the KGC rounded the corner, I would have been thinking "You, and your dual Gauss ass are mine!"

I suggest keeping forum accounts of your tweet exploits to a minimum. Someone is starting to complain about you and how "effective" your tweets are. I'm sure you've seen it.

Mostly since the bulk of the maps are highly congested, making them ideal Urbanmech environments....

+1

One of the few things PGI did well.

And this happened 'cause pgi listened to the community.

'nuff said.

Where most of the non t1 mech hang out. People leveled them, and after the first shiny wore off many stopped playing them. That happens to pretty much all new mechs if they are not exceedingly good.

While I was in my Centurion AH, an Urbie walked beside me. He looked like he was admiring my AC20. I wonder what happened to that little fella...
