50 CW matches in one weekend :o That's 25 hours with no queuing, loading or mech changing included!

Edit: Why are the rewards so top heavy? The significant rewards start at 35 matches. (30 if you really want a mech bay) Wouldn't it be better to put one of the large rewards like the mech at 10-20 points? Make the players who work weekends and earn more money (for buying robots) happy?

Damnit, I just bought the Warhawk-C. :P

I guess the 3M that never came from the Faction sales a while ago is the prize for me.

TINAAAAA, HELP US NOW, PLEASE!!
Please put some more sense in those guys heads. I know I am not obliged to play, but 50 matches is a completely unrealistic for most players. We are talking about more than 24 hours of play/wait time. That's 8 hours per day. Does MWO turned into a fulltime job while I wasn't looking?

Make it tier-based and allow us to earn multiple points per match depending on our skill. The only way someone could complete all the rewards would be: 1/ have no life outside the game; 2/ be a douche and disconnect from matches after second wave and cut the effort by half.

C'mon...

The 50 Point tier should really be seen as an extended, edge-case reward. The ultimate goal for most players will be the 40 point tier for the Banshee/Warhawk selection.

50 points is a lot, and we're definitely mindful of that, but for every comment we tend to receive about the max tiers being too high we get another about the points not going high enough (here or through the support services). 45 and 50 were essentially added as stretch rewards to cover that.

It may be the first excuse to ever get a 400XL on a mech.

I'll still start off using a STD350 first though... but I am surely going to go full Wub.

Having stretch goals is better than not having stretch goals.

Also... if you're trying to get the mech and sell it...

Go for the Warhawk-C.

The Banshee Champion does have a large engine, but the Warhawk-C is more expensive overall when sold (factor in the omnipods as well).

If these were PUG drops, than sure, 50 would be possible. Exhausting as all hell, but possible.
But ******* 50 1/2 hour matches to get the top prize?
It's likely no-one will even get close to the 'Mech prize, let alone the top C-bills prize.

Don't get me wrong. I'm aware you don't NEED to do any of it, I'm aware that PGI is giving away free stuff in a free-to-play game. I get that. I appreciate it. However, it's a ******* slap in the face to see prizes offered with such rediculous requirements. As earlier posts said, that'd be 25 hours straight with not a single bit of loading/queing/etc. It's not like pug drops, unless you have a shitton of mechs lying around you can't just leave the game and get into another CW drop in the meantime. You have to wait for that whole 30 minutes to pass.

So yeah. That's messed up. Should be 3 points per match at a minimum. That's BS. Insulting, really. Like dangling a giant ass pile of money on top of mount Everest. Sure, some people will get there, and it'll just make everyone else pissed off that they can't burn an entire weekend (some of us have jobs, too) to get that prize. If they're doing something like this, it needs to go on for a week at the minimum to if it's only one point per match, and two weeks is much more acceptable.

Messed up man.

Why don't we count up the posts for 50+ goal versus those that say it's too much?

I say it's too much. Waaay too much. Will be setting my sights on maybe like 3. Or 5.

As of right now:
Against 50: 9 posts (including mine).
For 50: 3 post.

Wow, no premium tme prize for this event?

Not that I'm not happy there are prizes... but if you want people jamming up the queues premium time needs to be an early award.
