Despite what shills will say about how this game has 603239580 players, it really only has around 1.5k online at any given time.
Not all those players will be playing CW.
So... 64 x 24 = 1536 player limit for CW, which is more than enough.
But then you have an event like this which causes more people than normal to log on and suddenly you have 3000~ players logged on at once trying to play and...
Well yeah, I don't understand why they didn't see this coming, more people are always online for events, I don't know why they assumed it would just be business as usual.
