Explain to me how that makes any sense to counter anything I said when a targeting computer does nothing to actually help the player aim -.-
Thats what it did in Battletech actually just not in this game.

So in the end I guess it may not help but this thread could be locked anyway seeing were discussing hacking in a video game community thats mostly multiplayer.
Also I did get head shot in the Atlas once I forgot the details but man what an amazing shot.

IDK if the team he speaks of was using aim-bots or not, without a good stream or something there is no way to know.
but there is an aim-bot it exists within the game and the "auto-aim cheats" (the real deal not just some crappy overlay aim) use this aim-bot and it just tricks the game into thinking your in 3rd person while still in first person.
wont go into specifics other then ive never used it and never will. (dont trust any of those game specific "cheat-engines") but ive done enough research into it and i do believe its real and works VERY well for at least popping the reticle onto the enemies paper doll.
that said i dont use it and PGI forbids linking or talking about cheats. but PGI needs to find a way to detect things like the cheat-engine to stop the particular implimentation im refering to as it uses the same general idea (injecting code into certain game files and messing with bits of data in memory to fool the game).

its really noticeable actually, the mech tracking movement and fire lacks the normal human involvement
Yep or when the lasers have full burn on side torso even after mech hits the ground behind an obstacle.

I dropped into a match and faced off Lords & some other higher tier group...
Those guys are co-ordinated. They hit hard and fast. They shredded us in a matter of minutes. they killed the 40+ mechs of our team in literally a couple of minutes. Their aim was impeccable. Were they cheating? hell no. They're just GOOD.
As for the aimbot thing, I've seen it maybe twice thus far and usually people notice it, report it, and from what I know, said player is gone for good. I honestly don't think a team would be running it. Mostly because things like swearing or being a douche won't get you banned.. but tinkering with game code, they will most definitely ban your ass for that without thinking twice about it, since you violated pretty much the TOA.
This sounds to me like a buggy laggy game with errors happening as opposed to aimbotting. I've seen some weird deaths occur due to sever farts.
also....I don't see how an aimbot would be able to manipulate LRMS anyways...

During this event I dropped in a CW match. A pug vs pug.
My team got beat real bad, but everyone on my team kept saying Hax.
After the match we looked at the scoreboard and there was one guy on the opposing team that had an almost 400 rating (390 I think.) 15 kills, and did just shy of 3k damage with one death.
Maybe the guy just had a really good game but it seemed fishy to us because we were dropping like flies to this guy. Hard for me to personally say though. I dont know much about aim bots and such.

I did that twice today.
You don't need to hack, you need a team that isn't very agressive. The one I started out well, 4 kills 1000 odd damage on the first mech. The second round I dropped the enemy was screwing around outside the gate, when that mech died I had 2700 damage and 9 kills.
Ended with 2900 and 11 kills with three mechs used.
It happens I had another 2700 point 11 kill game that I only died once.
It happens.

I have had matches quite a bit better than that and it doesnt just happen. Thats alot of luck and experience mostly, not to mention the role the team played.
I cant target a side torso of a moving, torso twisting, light mech into the ground. Yet I have seen poor players piloting their mechs like noobs do it.

Or a Loki firing 2 ER Larges and 4 Mediums at the same time on a Firestarter going full speed and coring its CT out and nothing else.
Just like the Spider that one shots all the front armor off a Dire Wolf with 3 medium pulse lasers -.- Hmmm 105 points of armor versus a roughly 18 point alpha WTF.
This kind of stuff is flat out ridiculous. Post a vid, or it didn't happen. Really, the fish was so big, it must have sank the boat, and yet here you are, back on dry land.

Yep naming and shaming or false hackusations as its called isnt good, but on the other hand knowing is half the battle for players. Knowing that it is bannable not mention super uncool to put it mildly. Knowing that the game isnt broken its hackers that will soon be banned. Knowing the player himself isnt bad but needs practice and wont face cheats in matches often hopefully.
