To be fair I see omgwtfhax called out in no more than 1 in 10 games.

Yes, they are out there. No, they are not in every game.

Yeah we may miss some of the script kiddies (scriddies). No we cannot catch them all. If you die to something suspicious, don't **** your pants over it. If you observe something genuinely suspicious, THEN you should go and report to PGI.

I'm an obnoxious ******* who hates losing but in the past 4 weeks I've only reported 5 people who I genuinely believe are basement turds.

I don't know about you guys, but I have a easy time getting headshots all the time on a dual gauss jäger. Advanced zoom and memorizing of the hitbox for all mechs help. So does arm lock/steady aim. And enemies who stand still

I have a game last night on straits, my team pushed under the platform and I got 3 headshot kills with 3 shots. Trust me, I was laughing really loudly in our TS. Shadowhawk, Griffin & cicada. Multiple headshot games are definitely possible if you consciously keep going for them.

Do you seriously feel that the "There are no hacks!" folks are more annoying than the "I lost, therefore someone cheated!" ones?

The former is naivete. The later is ego-to-the-max.

Eh... usually the "there are no hax" people follow things up with a tale of how amazing they are, how much practice they have, etc. to achieve that kill shot at 1 km on a moving target while being accused of hacking, thus somehow "proving" there are no hacks. So, it's really the same behavior, just with a different motivation.

We get it - everyone is more skilled than average in this game, as a tour around this forum proves. If you died, it's because of hacks, and if you can get amazing shots now and then while being accused of hacking, then there are no hacks. Same illogic in both cases.

As for the game itself, I've seen a few suspicious things over the years. Usually headshots that seem very unlikely. Admittedly, I did that to a victim once, so it's certainly not impossible... still, a few of those games had multiple "impossible shots" being made by the same opponent, and that's where the red flags come out.

A shooter-provided video of an amazing shot is a good start to showing that it's not a hack, as far as I am concerned anyway.

Was having fun the other night, saying that everyone in the room had Aimbot and wallhacks. (Just for the lulz_

Got at least 30+ people to play along, I thank them for that :)

And on one of the matches I said that, someone almost got a headshot on me lol.

You called the aimbot three times at least, and much like a certain someone we know. Say their name three times, and they will appear.

Doing a jumping 180 and shooting them in the face for a kill. :D

<People should really not scrape a whole lot of armor off their cockpits>

I 360 no scoped a Shadowhawk the other night in my urbie. canyon network, running backwards at the time, but my turret is pointing where i'm running, so it looks like I'm moving forwards slowly, when a shadowhawk decides to hit me from "behind" I jump, and twist my turret, Fire an alpha on the guy as I'm coming down, ERLL, 2 MLs, and 3MGs rake him, and boom goes his head (ammo in the head possibly). I drop down, and keep walking (with "cool guys don't look at explosions, playing in my head). I wish the urbie came stock with an 8bit pair of shades on it's head.

Another Shadowhawk I found in HPG underground, I ran at him full speed, firing all weapons (this one was a 4MG 1 LPL urbie), I rake him from the front, and then I JJ over him, and land behind him, while maintaining almost continuous fire. Then core him out from behind, all in one smooth motion.

I swear, the urbie is an amazing ninja.

About 300 meters. So not a stellar achievement in ranged combat.

I do have a question about that:

I just saw the announcement, but doesn't this basically mean that PGI is technically naming and shaming?
I mean, it's against cheaters, so I'm all for it, but it's an interesting twist.

They did not state the name, therefore, did not name, but definitely shamed.

Pfft, duh, I'm just going by rules. Of Course anyone knows if they google it, who do you think I am???

Also really, competent? You know, I'm beginning to dislike people under the name of Kerensky, most I meet are tryhard and such, do yourself a favor, learn to be a better forumwarrior.

Buddah I can respect, he didn't say no crap like competent and such, he's cool, you're just, stuck-up.

There was talk about the possibility of making a "list" of banned - cheater players. Then again, in all fairness, this was from the players. I stand half corrected.
