No, it would still be 10 vs 12. If someone wanted to play a clan mech in a standard match, they would be placed on a team of 9 other clan mechs. Then the matchmaker would find either another 10 man clan mech team or a 12 man inner sphere team to fight against in standard clan matches. No more mixed tech on teams.

They can't even manage 3/3/3/3 with only IS without +10 minute waits.

Personally I find the nerfs for the SCR and TBR a bit unnecessary. And I'm a mostly IS player. (only have the 2 clan mechs from events)

Sure they are powerful mechs, but isn't that the way they should be? The clan weapon systems have already been toned down (necessary, I mean, double range, less space and in most cases lighter) much to the cries of a lot of clan players.

Something I don't understand. Do you clan players really want to play with mechs that have double range of IS? What is the fun about something like that? Sometimes I get impression clan player want a one button win mech. Taking the rules of the boardgame and just doing a 1 on 1 to this game would totally break the game.

But I do agree that PGI has gone overboard with the quirks on the IS mechs. They did need it to even hold their grounds against clan mechs. Or they should use a battle value like in the boardgame, but I doubt they could implement something like that. It's not even possible to do 10 against 12 (clan vs IS).

OH well let's see what happens, still playing this game a LOT. :D

Are clans really that OP, you sure? Something's telling me the inner sphere has been kicking ass lately. F-starter seems ok... They only need to quirk crappy mechs, or make us quirk them ourselves (I know there's modules for that) but allowing to add minor quirks for a limited number of slots seems reasonable to me, but, its is hard to imagine such things on a clan mech. Well, I'm looking forward to the patch!

oh, and by the way, why are cataphracts so great? more like catacrap, to me, ECM isn't going to change something crappy like that. It even says in the Battletech Wiki that they're salvaged parts clumped together, or at least that's how it started. So why even bother. <_<

the problem would be match maker needing to make so many more adjustments. standard games would probably have to put up with clans dominating, which i know some people wouldn't like but CW is the real game that was promised from the beginning not pointless matches. perhaps they could give IS a second separate buff for stranded games only. but that would need a lot of work, not only in the game but when you want to test a mech you would also need to choose what mode you are testing in. they could give them modules for AI armor units but something like that is far away. something other then quark adjusting needs to be done or they will keep getting it wrong till IS get clan tech.

They got me fooled with that we are listening to the community part for a moment - then i noticed it's not followed by explanation how they changed new quirks in the last minute ;)

Is it just me, or is this patch taking longer than normal?

I'm home sick today, maybe it's just me. I just don't remember a really basic patch like this one taking this long. Watched pot never boils may apply here.

Waiting for the "ragewars" to start again because IS now has a 70t ECM heavy while clans only have a 65t ECM heavy...why is one side never happy unless they get MOAR than the other??? (and that argument goes for both sides equally)

Heh, spoken like a true Merc...

...but you are not wrong either. The ones crying for balance probably don't want balance, they just feel they don't have enough of an advantage...

The only hope for fairness is that everyone's toes are stepped on equally.

Don't think anyone in the clans care.. I've read more IS people crying that their ECM heavy is the cataphract actually. Only 'Clanner' comments I can remember is along the lines of 'good they finally got one, now shut up about the hellbringer'.

From the May Roadmap:
May 19

- Faction and unit chat now available in the Queue lobby.
- VOIP (voice transmission quality improvements)
- BattleMaster BLR-2C and Cataphract CTF-0X variants - Gift Store first.
- New Mastery bundles.

Things do feel light on patch content for May 19th mostly because such a huge effort is going on in the background on the new Mechlab. This takes up resources in every department, but were happy to say it is getting very close and will likely get a public test very soon, perhaps even this week. The live release date for Mechlab is likely June 2nd. There is also a lot of effort going into the underlying bones of Mechlab to improve save time and to fix the Invalid bug, this work will likely be ongoing beyond the initial Mechlab release. Work has also been underway to support the upcoming MASC technology coming with Wave 3 mechs. So yes we are expecting fairly heavy patches in June with the new Mechlab and Wave3 content.

Thanks for playing and your support.

I just logged in and I see the same mastery bundles as yesterday. Any news on when this will be implemented PGI?
