Is Pgi A Worthy Holder Of The Rights To Mechwarrior?

sure they have pumped out alot of mechs, but still seems like alot of core issues with weapon/mech balance, team balance, mech/map hitboxes still need some work.
none the less, i still login and play it at times to see if its goten any better. for a while there i lost pretty much all hope for this game. tho after playing recently it and seeing some of the changes here and there, PGi seems to be actualy trying to improve some of the core issues, and making improvments. all we can do as players is share what we think with PGI, and hope for the best.
the way i see it is, if i like it, i'll play it and maby invest some money. if i don't, ill just find another game play.

There is no reason to discuss this. They blew it, everyone knows it.

Some basement dwelling know-it-all will claim they or someone else can do it better no matter who has the rights.

Bridge troll. Ignore. By the way. The only thing worse than a bridge troll is a cave troll.

I've been playing since the start, and don't see me slowing down anytime soon.

1) mechs and mech design - they have covered just about every mech in the original TRO. Who else would make a Vindicator, Blackjack, Kintaro, and Spider? And the redesigns are gorgeous.
2) clan balance - cry as much as we like, balancing clantech with IStech is tricky business. Its a tough choice to balance clan vs IS but since they made that choice the odds seem almost 50/50 and still keep a different flavor.
3) immersion - big stompy robots feel like big stompy robots. I'm looking forward to destructible terrain.
**Yes, I think I would have made a couple different decisions when it comes to customization freedom, balance, and such, but noone will be happy with every decision made.

It would be nice if PGI just got a boot to the ass and fixed various issues with the game instead of letting them rot for years.

The problem I have with PGI is their total lack of failure in CW.

I'd rather Activision get the license back.

Screw that, the game is already a CoD fest as it is.
You gotta think bigger. If Sony had it or Daybreak had it MWO might get evolved into a MechWarrior version of Planetside 2..... one can hope right?

Also looks like they were pretty far into programing it.
Pretty far? It was pretty good. Lots of us played the beta. And then EA effed us all over and shut it down overnight.

Sony or Daybreak probably wouldn't want it. This is a small niche IP. Critical acclaim does not make it a cash cow.

The mech keep on coming, the maps are mostly good, except for one or two, that are a little more difficult to play.
wouldnt have spent three grand if I didnt like what they were doing, game is very playable and customization is through the roof. Hope they keep it up for quite some time to come!
