I hope they do not cheat, but a few times when I dropped against them.. well... it felt fishy. Unusual headshots, one shot kills, damage and kills that didn't quite add up..
But nooo.. Mercstar does not cheat... and the game never crashes becouse the code is perfect.. bad routers all around. :-)
WEll I do remember RJF and/or JFP giving MS a thorough beating on Helle Bore, but the topic of this thread is rumor, not truth... so to the fact that MS is the best is a rumor then ...

Also please notice that not one member of MS was banned with this last ban pass that PGI made so....yeah there is that.
Xavier most of us are familiar with the individual units inside of Merc Star we simply just don't like the massive cartel and its influence (obviously) but are otherwise friends / good terms with the individuals.
Even if you are literally eating baby Locusts each day to fortify your Merc Star mana pool.

On a side note I actually have a serious question for you. By pilot count we are not the largest unit in MWO CWI, SWOL and a few others have larger players counts than us. Why do you say that we have such a large influence when we arnt even the largest....I just want to understand why it is seriously that such vitriol is thrown our way and not at the other groups that are larger than us???
Can you please answer that question for me.
On a side not.....I here that mercstar gets paid in candy!!!

I resent that.
MercStar does not discriminate based on body temperature. If the undead can boot up an MWO client we'll shove them in a drop just like anyone else.

Well a merc is some one who only cares about money ... some on you hire for killing or war or chaos. as for a star it is a geometric shape with 5 points sorta like a pentage but looks like this:

MercStar is a unit that was formed at the start of CW from several competitive MWO teams, Swords of Kentares, SiG, Star League Reborn, and several others. Since it's inception it has picked up several other groups and quite a few solo players.
As such, it is currently one of the largest units and generally understood to be the most influential unit in community warfare (for what that's worth). Basically, it has the combination of a large number of active players and an above average skill level for those players as a whole. The best example is MercStar's participation in the Tukiayyid event, scoring 5664 points, more than the entire faction of Liao. Given the number of players in MercStar the skill level of teams can vary significantly depending on which players on one the team.
MercStar currently has two competitive teams that participate in leagues. While not at a tier 1 (EmP, SJR) level I would place them at tier 2 and 3 respectively.
Short answer:
We're a big group of mercs that goes where the c-bills and battles are in community warfare.
Watch out for the potatoes, they have eyes everywhere.
