After what 5-6 YEARS! Where is MELEE COMBAT??? Oh right. . . nevermind! lol

Considering the technical problems of simply implementing it (a reason nearly no game currently doess melee in battletech) as well as the balance problems of it such as extremely high damage for low weight which is normally balanced out in TT by having RNG based on your accuracy as well as the fact that running instead of walking also had problems like heat and potentially falling I think Melee would be rather OP in MW:O due to a mech running up to you 80 kmh and instantly criting your torso in a swing or it'll be heavily nerfed to the point that you should've just used an SRM instead which would do more damage in melee range for less weight (which currently is 12 damage for 1.5 (clan) or 3 (IS) tons).

Not saying we will never see it, or that it'll be useless in MW: O, but it'll require heavy work animation, mechanically, and balance wise to make it work for what would be a small pay off for a small minority on the forums to appreciate and if gaijin would put all that effort into something so expensive they would do something else that could be better to a wider group of people and could attract new players. Such as the recent 3060's tech we got, or the new mechbay coming up, or anything in the Solaris update including solaris itself.

I would rather have new weapons and equipment. Examples include Light AC-2 & AC-5, as well as PPC Capacitor.

1. IS Omnimechs

2. Periphery Factions and other factions for the IS.

3. A revamp or remodeling for FP, to replaces the boring stale one we have now.

How about a mobile field base for in-game repairs/reload. You can destroy the opponents MFB. MFB should actually be mobile to provide slower mechs with timely access. MFB should be ECM and AMS equipped. MFB should alert team when it is under attack and have at least a laser for defense. Only one repair per mech per game. Request repairs on the way to MFB for MFB staging preparations. This would be more fun than escort mode. Maybe some of the code for the VIP movement could be adapted for use in keeping the MFB within a reasonable distance to the team. Commands from team (Captain?) could also direct MFB to a specific location. Thoughts?

Limit the amount of LRM ammo allowed. So sick of players who can't fight just LRM spamming.

True omni-hardpoints, not the pathetic omnipods.

Sounds interesting, This could be a better option than Escort.

The planetary cycle for faction play is the one thing I'd really like to see changed. I can't stay up until 2 AM EST trying to take a planet Posted Image

I think a shorter cycle could help, or a different system where you don't have to play until the very end to ensure that you're going to win the planet. Maybe as soon as you move the bar all the way over, the cycle immediately ends and you get the planet. Something like that.

I have not had time to read much from this forum, so apologies if I am repeating what others have said.

First, it is ridiculous that we have omnimechs but can't configure them for the map or type of game. What is the point of having them at all? It sucks when you have an energy based assault mech on a hot world playing incursion, for example. I think we should get to choose the world where we will be fighting, and then go through mech selection. Also, we should be able to move HUD items to where we can use them best. I have a 55' inch monitor and I cannot see the enemy damage map unless I take my eyes completely off the game. I want to move that damage map and other critical information to where I can actually use it. Finally, a tone for when someone types something to the team. Again, I can't really see it with my monitor

If you can't use the entire top half of your monitor, then why are you using it in the first place?

I want to buy new mechs, but I probably won't. I don't have a GSP/GXP pool that more veteran players have, and taking a mech with 0/91 nodes into a fight with 12 mechs at 91/91 is too painful. I can't imagine how new players feel, assuming there are any?

Now I know why the xp to gxp conversion tool was left in the game. Well played. But, maybe a few GSP or GXP points for early adopters? A guy can dream can't he...?

Tis alright, I guess I will play lights and fast mediums till this too has passed.

Country flag DECALS
Unit Rank DECAL

As the decal count will be increased this year it would be nice to see them in the Solaris Arena release.

Planet landing cutscenes before matches, that's what I'd like to see. Dropships weaving in and out of fire as they fight to deliver the lances. Have the game mode and map displayed in text somewhere.

How about a hotkey to turn AMS on and off like it is done with ECM? It still tries to shoot through walls and I get tired of cooking my KFX with three LAMS. And now that we are about to have a 4 AMS Pirahna...
