Hello there folks
i posted something in here sometime ago and since it wasn't immediately shot to hell, i figured i'd throw in another dime's worth of suggestions.
PINGS- League of Legends is a strategy based game with required team work. MWO is also one of these. however, LoL has pings that allow fast and easy communication to everyone instanced. a simple command "come here" "fall back" etc would make so much sense. *I dont know how you, PGI, would monotize this and i know that money is always and issue... but i would hope we have proven ourselves a dedicated enough community that simply "making the game better" would be something you, PGI, wants to have done, just as we players want to see a better game* *heck, im sure simply throwing out a kick-started of "MWO gameplay improvements" would be a great way to get paid for something that realistically has no defined monetary value, and seems to be a $$ sink since people have to fix stuff and make stuff*
Have the map that we see in the CW start up, be the same direction the map faces when we spawn in and hit the "battle menu". small thing, just seems silly to have it always seeming to point a direction not the one that you see when waiting for soldiers to join the group.
Have a map that shows the entirety of the map somewhere on your hud. this would highlight where the pings are coming from. combining this with my earlier posts in regard to requesting assistance linking you with 2 other mates and having some sort of marker from the caller of assistance, which the ones linked would draw attention to.
rebuff ecm.
buff the c-bill gain. create more diverse modes of play by increasing the ways you can play successfully. *ways to do so can be seen in my previous post.
Map score and c-bill gain exposed as soon as you die. I personally like leaving as soon as i die. I don't like not knowing how i much money i made in that match. it sours the completion of the map since i don't know how much im getting from the performance, good or bad, from that match.
For now, this is a small list of things id like to see
TL;DR
create system for faster non-verbal nor askii communication between allies. ie pings.
make all CW symmetric in how the display pre-game and mid-game in map menus
mini map in some corner of HUD, to mark pings and such
buff ecm
allow diverse play styles by rewarding certain things in game that are required to succeed but no one gets c-bills for *see other post*
show map score and map performance as soon as you die to know how many c-bills were earned that match.

EDIT: I have been playing some more and realised i have forgotten a few things here.
Give us a real mech tree. and a real Pilot tree.
Allow for diverse builds that tend more to one of 4 directions*ish* like... support, fire rate, tankiness, damage. *or some such thing, if you can find better mech differentiation tendencies than I'll happily use that.* This is for 2 reasons. one, the mech mastery at the moment is... impersonal. There is no choice, to "master" a mech you ALWAYS need the same 15 stats increases to get the last module.
upposing a mech doesn't use their arms, because everything is torso mounted, one should not have to pay to upgrade the movement speed of my arms, to unlock the next tree layer. Since customization and builds seems to be a mainstay of our community, to be pigeon holed into what upgrades we can get for our mech seems... impersonal. I will keep comparing this game to League of Legends, because that is a game that knows what kind of game it is; a strategic moba. Much like this game as long as moba means "Multiplayer online battle arena" thats exactly what MWO is. In this case i am likening the mech tree to the Mastery tree. Not every player, gets the same masteries. Shoot, not even the people versing each other in lane take the same masteries. Forcing a single pathis disadvantageous, and makes them being there at all not worthwhile. *as it is, they had to be nerfed because some people claimed there was a discernable difference between mechs that had that, and mechs that didn't. And since mechs change and sway, having mech XP and pilot XP/rank is a HUGE issue in regards to team balance and skill balance and pilot rank when having new people come play.
The skill tree, if created large enough would also create a more "classed" build-ability *not sure if im speaking to rabid wolves in this case, but i think having a way to say "that warhammer is a tank, not a sniper" would be beneficial, and possibly have mathes "match made" that way, instead of being simply "3x assault, 3x heavy, 3x med, 3x light*. I know i am furthering myself from lore, but i dont want the "lore" to be the hang up that keeps this game from being as good as it can be. Pilor skill tree i think is actually pretty silly. Pilot is the person behind the screen. I'd take it out and make all the modules just things that can be purchased. Personally, i would make GXP for upgrading certain mechs, or simply removing it all together, along with the XP model in general. The RPG aspect in this game, i think, seems entirely unnecessary.
This one will bring everyone to their knees I'm sure... Let all mechs change hard points. yep... i said it. The entire deal of having multiple chassis for the same mech, although im sure is lore appropriate* is a poor game mechanic that we all have just *bought* into. *cough cough* I know PGI, you need to make money. Why not instead of making so many mechs, you make a game that more people WANT to play. *i know I'm asking for the world here. seriously, no sarcasm intended, making games is hard and you can't cater to everyone. But the way i see it, is you make money by making mechs. This game has too much wrong with it to continuously throw more mechs into the game. Maps are issues, mechanics have issues. It just still feels like were playing an unfinished game *which i understand it is still in beta, but this is getting a little bit insane, this game has been around long enough to not be in beta.* Making money simply by creating more chassis with the same model and different hardpoints is... in my opinion dirty. better than paying for power, which heavens be praised you haven't done *many kudos for that

* but this game, i feel, can be much more than it is. and people's hangers are getting congested. Sell a mech. $15-25 bucks with x# of hard-points available, and people get to pick and choose where they are put, or at the very least, what kind of hard point they are.
I think the biggest issue you are rtunning into is the "difference in kind" in this game is NOT touch on at all. Regardless of what mech you are, you always feel like you're doing the same thing, except in larger mechs than light mechs, you simply do it slower * i may be alone in this opinion, but honestly, every mech plays the same way, spin torso, shoot, back up behind corner, spin torso to mitigate damge, shoot player in ct-legs* although we can bring everything down to *click click click click click* The weight behind those clicks and effect of those clicks are the reasons we play this. And i think until some other way to make c-bills is introduced, or some mechanic that allows for different kinds of tactics, we are going to be a community that goes the way of the titanic.
TL;DR- RPG aspect is done poorly and could either be scrapped or made into a RPG style skill tree that actually offers multiple different benefits to certain playstyles. Just make the perks that keep getting thrown around be the things that people can upgrade in the mech mastery stuff.
Stop making more mechs and change what needs to be changed.
more gameplay options- not maps and objectives, but simply ways you can earn c-bills. ways to benefit themselves, while benefiting the team where not everyone is scrambling to get a hit in on the guy thats going down
stop making a million mechs per chassis. one mech with static # of hardpoints that can be customized by the player would do just fine. *might even create greater mech diversity than what is available*
I think thats all for now, thanks for reading this far and not chewing me out in the private message box.
Cheers,
