I'm looking forward to amazing mech action looking slicker than any of the previous MW series, getting a bunch of mates online and froming a merc lance and running around 'chunking' and jumping everyone we can. Love MW, love PVP so this hopefully will fulfil my expectations - the videos so far have done just that.

I have to admit, I'm hoping there will be some solo content at some time.

Canon or not, new Battlemech models would definitely be a very wise move. However, for now (launch and the first few months into the game) Canon only is the best way to go. By then, with anywhere between 20 and 30 Battlemechs we all have a Mech that we can call "favourite" and then they can start introducing new models. Something devised on a backwater planet which got ignored in the clan invasion and never was sufficiently important to become topic in any of the stories but happens to have a genius in its populous... It is even easy to properly introduce new designs into the canon. Happened all the time, by the way.

MWO hopefully will get Battletech back to mainstream life and how else to do it than by introducing some new kickass Mechs?

EDIT:

LOL! wrong forum topic, sorry :P

Looking forward to implementation of a Solaris system of play where you have to work your way up in Ranked matches, or public matches where you can jump into any size mech you want and go to town, but no reward (more of a hope than a "Looking forward to")

And just having better mech combat than we have ever seen before, and having it available to EVERYONE regardless of ability to pay.

I would love to see a few different gamemodes besides a standard Team Deathmatch.

Some kind of domination/location control would be nice.

Pick CoD's 4 top match types and get them implemented as quickly as possible

No.

The current game modes are single lance vs single lance with a "Base" that is to be defended and no respawns, and a "hot drop" variation where it's still a single lance vs a single lance but each person gets 3 'mechs that are "hot dropped" in making it sort of a "company vs company" scenario.

Edit: to add, what this means is you have two victory conditions. Capture the enemy base, or destroy all opposition.

Canon timeline... I hope that this game is so freaking successful that it makes LOTRO's F2P success look like failure.

I hope it makes so much money that Piranha can hire a ton of devs to write PvE content and release it in 18 months as an expansion pack called "MWO Clans. Are You Happy now?".

I hope that whatever that X-Pack would really be called does the Stackpole books justice and that we get to participate in some of the iconic battles against the clans - including the ones in which the Houses get their arses handed to them. I also hope that we cannot play clanners.

Oh, and I really hope I get paid tomorrow so I can buy my freaking legendary!

An Axeman painted black with yellow "tiger print" stripes and a red axe.

1st Summerset Strikers! B)

Yea, yea... I know that Mech will never be in the game. I kind of hope that camo will be available though.

I'm hoping the game doesn't suck like a lot of the big title games that have come out in the past couple of years. Hopefully the game will succeed and continue to grow, so we have a self sustaining community that gets larger and more fun. Which in turn will keep the developers working on newer and more fun stuff for the game.

I'm hoping the game succeeds in the F2P market so I can play it for a long time to come.

Didn't read a single other post - I simply want to answer the question:

Without a doubt, what I want most out of this game is a community that is not full of a bunch of cry-baby whiners and ragers!

That's it. Not even worth mentioning anything else as the game already looks 'good enough' to keep my interest and attention, so the only thing that can ruin it is "you". (and of course me....)

I'm hoping MWO will solve all my problems, cure cancer and bring about world peace. Failing that, 'mechs blowin' the crap out of each other will be a good substitue. :D
