MA and MA 2 were meant to be arcadey as hell and appeal to a different group.That said I remember that boss and I freaking hated it. Dude was freaking annoying to kill. I do think it looked kinda cool so maybe a skin for the Atlas. But the actual Abomination, the only name I've heard anyone refer to it as (though they may have been talking about the game itself) shouldn't be in there. Just it's torso was the sze of an Atlas.

This makes me wanna play mechassault one and two back to back, and who needs mechs in the second game, it's all power armor, so technically mechs = obsolete. Such a great game.

The MechAssult games were good for what they were, console games based on a PC franchise. For what it was, it wasn't bad. MechWarrior 4 beats it hands down. As far as the last boss on MA goes....that dude was a pansy....even on the hardest difficulty. The only good part about that fight was the soundtrack; got me into Korn.

Having never owned an xbox i'd never heard of mech assault until these forums. I couldn't even watch the shortest video of it on youtube without a solid facepalm.

i personally enjoyed MA and MA2... as standalone games pretending they have nothing to do with battletech

So much MA hate. I personally enjoyed the Mech Assault games for the arcadey shoot-em ups they were. bI will say however that I enjoyed Mech Warrior 4, i just need to find a working copy on windows 7 <.<

I wouldn't be here about to enjoy MechWarrior Online if it wasn't for MechAssault. Sure it looks and even I can tell it isn't as good as the other MechWarrior games, but for many of us that was before our time. The only thing we know IS MechAssault. So don't disparage it completely, it probably gave you a larger chunk of your fan base than you realize.
