Maybe he plays this game on an old Macintosh?!?!

Would explain the 'need' to cheat...

EDIT: Oh yeah, I remember we Wintel guys would joke that the Macintosh mouse was designed for people who were bad at decisions, only ONE button to push, makes it easy to decide what you're going to do...

Please go re-read the OP. That statement was exactly in line with the content of his post.

Or did a really funny joke just fly over my head just now?

So any mouse that costs more than $9 is cheating? I'm screwed.

The argument is spurious since PGI has long since indicated what it feels is cheating and what is not.

Macro software - not cheating.
Enhanced gaming devices (mice, keyboards, et al) - not cheating.
Manipulation of the game files - cheating.
3rd Party software to enhance gaming performance by auto aiming and/or providing information not normally given by the game client - cheating.
Intentional ping/latency manipulation - cheating.
Manipulation of the USER.CFG file - not cheating.
etc.

It's not difficult to understand. It's common sense, or at least should be, after 20+ years of online gaming.

I'm apparently still trying to figure out why you disagreed with the definition, since your post said a multi-button mouse was cheating by his definition and I didn't know they came in any other form.

you have a truly horrible reading comprehension

ok, i will explain

nightmare1 gave a bad definition of what is cheating
i said that by their definition a multi-button mouse is cheating
nightmare1 said that they didn't mean hardware
that definition is still questionable even related to the software but i decided not to comment about it
here you and dimento graven appeared, didn't bother to read anything past the very last post and wrote some crap, you about that i claim multi-button mouses as cheating and dimento that either i'm a cheater myself or op (how op appeared in their reasoning i have no idea) uses a one-button mouse
welp i know that people are generally idiots and ain't very surprised

I read the whole thread. I happen to think Nightmare1's definition of cheating is spot on and I haven't yet been able to figure out why you actually object to it.

Bad Kitty has some...different...views on the whole cheating thing, so you need to just take the statements and probably ignore them for your own well being.

PGI defined what they do and do not allow when it comes to play MWO, it's not really a fuzzy subject or one open to personal points of view. PGI created the game, they run the game, so they get to decide what is or is not allowed, end of subject.

It is much like TKing on purpose, PGI has flat out stated it isn't allowed. They don't give you OPTIONS on when it might be acceptable, it isn't allowed at all. People continue to give justifications for doing it however, blocking the way, being stupid, whatever, and they think that makes it acceptable. There are no clauses or allowances in the no TKing rule PGI set, so all the justifications mean jack, there aren't ANY acceptable circumstances for a purposeful TK, end of story.

Using a known hack software in MWO, you cheated, end of story, and that's a permban for the account and the alts tied to it, simple as that. PGI doesn't give a damn WHY you used that hack software, there are NO exceptions or clauses that allow it to be used, end of discussion.

The key, by your own words, being 'purposeful'.

Some of the circumstances you mention get people TK'd, accidentally, and PGI has more or less said, "Yeah that's gonna happen, try and be careful."

I almost feel sorry for this guy. He really wants his team to not be associated with cheaters.

The only options you have are change your team or have your team pull some PR stunt, that's it. I know they are lame options, but that's what you have.

Actually I wasn't accusing you of cheating, though I've long suspected one of the 64 banned accounts was one of your alts from one of your earliest posts right after the banning, HOWEVER, it's only a suspicion, and had zero to do with my comment.

The "they" I was referring to in my statement on "feel the need to cheat", was actually referring to the OP (and the infamous 64) and his blatant, stupid, and self-destructive attempts at justifying it...

If you are currently cheating, I don't know, I don't recall running into you in any recent matches, which means if we did drop together, you didn't stand out, which slants it into the 'non-cheating' side of the scale, for now.

I would say to the OP your not running with all your actuators but that's already been covered heavily.
I would say to the OP that your attempt at calling the kettle black is hilariously under thought but that has already been covered heavily.
I would say to the OP what the hell are you smoking but again that's and you guessed it covered heavily.

What else is there to say............

OP that was just sad sad sad sad.
