And that is one of the important reasons why the Urbie kicks so much @$$.
Well that and 360° torso twist and a whole lot of charm

Much better; those eye protection flaps have to be ST or you can hit the CT from the full front 180 degree arc. Now the STs also cover the ST hardpoints and that would make sense. The cockpit is a bit exposed with a good change of a twin Gauss instagib... it will be the aiming spot if you want to CT this mech. I hope the cockpit box with be of the same size as the side windows, so, a bit less high that this...

Well, Cent's right gun arm is actually not that low relative to the cockpit from where you see.

Also, it's usually configured as a brawler which its low slung hardpoint doesn't matter. That's why I think Mr. Exe is most suited to brawling as opposed to play at range because it has most of its firepower on the arms.

Yeah, thats my main worry for the Exe to be honest, along with the backpack that the concept art has, no image of the model has shown us how huge (or not) it is.
The other really fugging annoying thing is the giant shield arm is the arm you dont want to be losing because its the one with the crazytown 7E hardpoints (and the good torso HPs are also right side). The side i WANT to use as a shield.. doesn't have a shield.
My verdict is it will be vastly better than the Gargoyle, but still not on the same level as a Banshee, not even close.

I may get Wave 3, but not now. Probably getting Resistance 2 if I feel like doing a pledge pack again.
Hopefully Wave 4 involves ye ol Kodiak. That'll eat my wallet right up.

The Executioner will probably become my new pug/group queue ride... just don't know how I'm going to break it to my Gargoyle yet.

I was wondering about that. The arm does look almost inner-sphere-humanoid in its scale / ability to protect the body from fire, but if that's where all the energy hardpoints are then you're going to end up with DRG-1N syndrome. Perhaps they did that on purpose in an effort to balance? Hard to believe given how ultra-meh the Gargoyle is, and the Exe is basically what happens when you put a bike pump on the Gargoyle's toe and pump for a few days.
I will say that it looks very true to the original design, which is very cool. Not sure what it's going to do to really put 95 tons of fear in me, though.
Then again super high mobility has become a popular play style these days, with mechs like the Gargoyle running with the mediums surprisingly well as they flank assaults. Perhaps the Exe could be the tank or true assault mech for that super fast play style?

Please don't write whole novels into a thread title.
It's unnecessary annoying, confusing and therefore unsocial behavior.
2.)
Let me once again post my usual paragraph:
Please stop using the term meta to express "overpowered". It means "after" / "beyond" / "above" in an ABSTRACT way (like meta study or meta gaming), NOT just "super" on some measuring scale.
From an objective point of view, everyone not getting the abstract nature of the term must be considered stupid.
I don't care if that includes 90% of the MWO community.
Speak for yourselves.
Oh s%$t guys.....the Forum Fun Police are here!
Get a life dude...
OP,
I am excited for the executioner, i think its hit boxes will be pretty good not great but they seem ok (live fire will tell). He is very leggy and the arms seems like they cover the ST's well but that CT hitbox is a little questionable i will agree. I hope MASC works well and that construction rules dont kill it.

With MASC and JUMP jets locked in place yeah. D torso and Laser vomit will be good though. (theory) depends on how high they are.
Well, if Hover JetsTM were fixed, i'm sure people wouldn't be complaining about them being locked. Since you know - they'd be useful.

Now what I really, REALLY want is to see what Alex could do with the Kodiak. Playing it would be nice, but I mostly just want him to do his thing and see what it looks like...come to think of it, does he do commissions?
