This is what I would do.........

Chain fire those MPL, in between the AC5, keep them on their heels. When cool or out of AC5 ammo throw in those ML

Since this will be a Trial Mech used by new players I tried to keep this in mind when designing this Champion Mech.

My two design priorities are:

1. KEEP IT COOL: Since it will not have BASIC skills unlocked it will run hot, so energy weapons are only used as back-up. When I was a new player I found it very frustrating to keep overheating.

2. SIMPLE TO USE: Using only two types of weapons means the weapon groups can be assigned to the left and right mouse buttons, which will make it easier for players who only have a basic mouse. Having the Medium Pulse Lasers assigned to the Left mouse button and the Autocannon/10 assigned to the Right mouse button will also make it easier to learn.

THE BUILD:
AC/10 w/ 4 tons of ammo, 2 MPL, 255 XL engine, 2 Jump Jets, 14 DHS, Endo-Steel, 320/338 armor

Easy to pilot, because of only one type of weapon. Performs very well.

5 MPL, 19 DHS and a 250 STD.


Because we nee some more STD enforcers, especially as a ride for new players. You can sidecore the enforcer quite easily, having more survivability is always good. and 19 DHs are enough to keep it cool.

I prefer a brawler build, so no xl engine:

4 medium pulse Laser

1 uAC 5

Front heavy almost full Armor

standard 220 engine

jumpjet in center torso for less crits

My current 4R build, some may have been posted simmilar to this but what Iike about it is this build isthat it takes advantage of the quirks and is even better with the modules. Decent range while being heat efficent. And this mech may possibly player friendly allowing the player to utilize arms and being a safe distance away from brawler builds equipped with large srm packs or ac20's. Also if the arms are lost it can still fight with a large laser late match.

ENF-4R Vinyl

Standard 225, AC/10, 2xMlas, 3xSPlas, full jets.

Jumpy, fast, has the power to breach armor with either side, doesn't run too hot unless you overdo it on the lasers, and works well with only three weapons groups. Also, durable, because Standard engine.

Arm lasers are small pulse for fast firing against dodgy lighter 'mechs.

Basically a PPC-Sniper with 3 MLas as Backup. 260 XL plus full Jets make for good speed.

Like to see a Gauss-Variant for Champion. We already have LBX, UAC an AC Variants. And Enforcer without ballistics isn't Enforcer.

Well... I like the Gauss on that thing, I like JJ, I like medium lasers and I like Standard Engines for survivability. It shall also reach at least 80 kph after speed tweak. So I made this:
