after seeing you destroy just about all energy build for the timber wolf i see this as nothing more then smoke screen to sell people an un-nerfed energy build timber wolf

I Nicknamed It "Scorpion"
It packs
x4 MPL (better pinpoint dmg, faster damage, allows you to fire, then shield your CT & JJ between volleys)
x6 SRM6 (avoids the damage spreading of streaks, and ecm interferance)
Based off the S-Chassis. You swap out the omnipods on the S to get rid of the 4 tons of wasteful jump jets, and retain the one locked into the CT.
Packs 4.5 tons of ammo for the launchers, and ample heat sinks to dissipate the heat from your 80 point alpha strike.
1 Jump Jet is sufficient to get over and around obsticles.
Maxed armor, minus 2 points in the head.

best build for me so far.

do you understand what a Champion Mech is?
the Champion will have all the quirks the constituent pods do, or at least they always have had all the same chassis quirks for IS champs.
I would be exceptionally surprised if PGI broke their own rules and allowed a Clan Champion Mech different quirks to its regular equivalents.
Have you never tried the Timber Wolf as anything except a build with lots of lasers?
The Timby can do almost anything effectively, the only thing it struggles with is multiple large ballistics due to lack of tonnage

So after my laser wolf got nerfed I created this Its a chassis all about brawling with some medium range capability and the missile racks can easily be switched to LRM-10s (or A-IV for the 6'es)and the LBX can be switched to a guass if you want the range although I prefer the capabilities of the LBX-20 if I only have one ac slot.

Hands down the best brawler I have played since starting this game.
- SRM's provide the mech with ample damage output at close range and basically guarantee that the pilot will do some hurt to opponents.
- LBX 20 AC combined with targeting computer is absolutely fantastic at destroying exposed parts. The range is surprisingly good and using the weapon is very easy even for new players as it does not require particularly good aiming skills.
- 2 Medium laser provide nice backup weapons and provide at least some firepower outside the mechs optimal close range.
- Weapons handle easily with only 3 groups and with no need to chain fire.
- The weapon locations mean that even if you lose a side torso you wont be totally crippled and unable to fight.
- The mech is pretty easy on the heat. You can always hammer you opponet with your LBX 20 AC regardless of your heat.
- The 2 jumps jets provided by the TBE-SLeft torso help with obstacles and terrain that you otherwise would not be able to cross (There is a possibility to use TBS-S right torso, but i have chosen against it).
I have played this mech quite a lot since Timber Wolf was released, and with some experience I can say that I can confidently engage almost any other mech including assaults in a brawl and expect good results. This mech rewards opportunistic hunting of weakened enemies greatly and is in my opinion one of the best mechs to introduce new players on face to face combat in MWO.
Happy brawling and enjoy the summer!

*long range lots of gauss ammo
*runs fairly cool
*Has the available positive quirks and only 6% on the negative quirks
that's probably the most new player/new to Timbers friendly one I run

So behold! Energy timber brawler-support with epic sustained 12 DPS! It also comes with double TAG, so you can tag two targets at once with unlocked arms - bang! c-bills shower. And finally you have two srm6 for medium range combat! As possible champion mech, this timber provides various ways of customizing, so happy owners of that beast won't be bored with it. You can swap two TAGS to flamers increasing your damage output to infernal 13 dps, sacrificing support ability if you like solo play. Also you can swap srms to streak srms for long range combat lowering your total ammo count which is btw fairly high.
