Wish it was a rifleman, but close enough.

Such a beauty. I know when we first assaulted Port Arthur when we fought the Smoke Jaguar, the old JagerMech did the job. Maybe shes not agile as a MadCat nor have the firepower of the Loki but we held the beachhead for the big boys.

The Rifleman is my Fav' 'mech in MW4:Mercs... The sensors, the 360 torso... A very hard mech to catch...

I'm certainly hoping that the Jagermech will have a good torso range. It'll allow a savvy pilot to maintain distance whilst firing and moving... Distance is important for a mech with paper armour.

Seems allot of people forget that the Jagermech was designed to replace the aging Rifleman. It has decreased armor, increased heat dissipation, is slightly slower, but in my opinion better balanced. It can be used as a fire support mech, going almost all AC-2's if standing still it can rain slugs down without ever overheating, the balanced version 2-AC2's and 2 AC 5's can support differing battlefield conditions, and i have even seen it use two AC 10's, though they sacrificed both Med lasers for that fit. All in all the Jagermech is an interesting beast....but what i want to know is ..."WHERE IS THE LOVE FOR THE PHOENIX/SHADOW HAWK MECHS?!?" Those were two of my all time favorite mechs, so fun to play. I hope they make the cut or are added in later.

Looks great, how heavy is this one?

I miss my MW4 Cougar with LBX10 and Medium Laser. I want something small, fast AND has dakkadakka or BOOM chik!

Was never really a fan of the Jagermech in Table top, but it's a whole different story in the simulators.

The Jagermech is based of the design of the Rifleman, This mech was meant to correct the design faults of the Rifleman.

one flaw in the Jagermech's chasis design is they put the cockpit mid-torso, right where people aim to shoot the mech 'center mass' where the most shots will land. It seems that most fire support mechs have a bit more exposed heads when you evaluate the chasis design though.

thank you! someone else who noticed this huge flaw in this mech! it is screaming: shoot me here!

It's still an appealing chasis to work with, though I >seriously< question the battlefield value of a weapon that hits like a machine gun with ultra-long range (the AC-2).

AC-2's are alot of tons for a very small amount of damage. I'd strip those almost before I considered if or what I'd want to customize on the mech.

It was also meant to avoid the copyright of harmony gold.

Face it, that's the real reason. design faults be damned.
