From page 100 of Field Manual: Mercenaries, Revised (viewable here as the 110th page of the e-document):

Additionally, Historical: War of 3039 (the cited source in the quoted Sarna reference to a McGee's Cutthroats in 3040; viewable here) refers to Simonson's Cutthroats in reference to the FedSuns' attack on planet Lima in March of 3039 on page 49.
Moreover, page 141 of Historical: War of 3039 lists both McGee's Cutthroats and Simonson's Cutthroats on the Deployment Table.
In fact, that page of the Deployment Table is the only reference to "McGee" in the whole document, while there are six separate references to "Simonson" (and a total of nine references to "Cutthroat", including one to a wholly separate unit, Clinton's Cutthroats).

So, it looks like the transition from "McGee's Cutthroats" to "Simonson's Cutthroats" occurred in (or around) 3028.

Thanks for the clarification . McGee's Cutthroats and Waco Ranger were always a few of my favs, and when I played the Succession Wars board game I always tried to make sure I got them in my employ :D. The good ole days.

I like this concept. It looks less than a barrel than the original JägerMech-Design.

they are of a similar design philosophy, the main difference is ones more of an anti-air, the other just puts a bunch of metal on a target.

:D  :o :) :) :) :)

If the Orion isn't released, I will likely pilot THIS along with my Centurion.

Jagermech, Dragon, Cicada, and Cataphract

All 'mechs that are not massively popular, but have their niches.

Also they reflect what's realistically there in the universe!

I applaud the team for choosing these beasts to include

I hope we can modify our mechs cause I love this mech but I always modify it. Rip out the AC5's and their ammo add 2 Large Lasers,4 tons of armor and 4 more heat sinks and its a nice mid range raider/attacker. Otherwise the armor is just too thin at this weight.

The riffleman is a clan mech. You wont see it until after the clans attack

the Rifleman was first fielded in 2505. That's long before the clans invade. The Jagermech was designed off the Rifleman. Jagermech was also around in 3039.

I was thinking the same thing, that it looked like the Rifleman. Is the Rifleman on the unseen list?

Yknow, this is the first mech I'm sad about, if only because it means no Orion. Certainly looks shiny tho

JagerMech always looked to me like pimp my UrbanMech project gone horribly wrong. This version however, looks absolutely delicious.

A decent amount of ballistic hard points...

And they've made it look so much better.

Can rapidly see this becoming one of my go to Mechs. Especially on hot worlds.
