Here is the bitter truth. Your time is not more valuable than the other 23 people. If disagree, then cry to PGI, and when they don't support your position (no pun intended), come cry to the forums.
I see we have already come full circle.

Considering I'm still alive and kicking, and my most favorite treasonous ******** no longer seem to be around, I'm doing just fine thank you very much.

I don't know what game you're playing, but in all my games since closed beta I've literally NEVER seen someone who was still moving or had moved recently have their position given away.

Then I am honestly jealous of you as I've seen it time and time again. Including someone who thought that the last three mechs standing were drawing the game out too much so gave a running commentary on where they were.

Remember guys there is a perfectly functional leave match button, actually no do us a favor and hit Exit game then go to control panel and under installed programs click mwo, then uninstall, then take a long walk off of a short cliff.

The OP sounds like he did a legitimate thing and his team ratted him out wrongly. This is always sad.

Just one thing to keep in mind in the future, try and communicate to your team your intentions before or just as you power down. You shouldn't HAVE to do this, but keeping your team in the loop of your intentions will more likely keep their silence.

I bet your most favorite treasonous whatever didn't get banned for giving coords to AFK/DC/griefers. You just like to think GMs are banning people for giving away AFK/DC/griefers. It probably annoys you that they haven't ever done that since they do an investigation into the situation and will find out whether they were AFK or trolling and not reprimand players for doing it.

Actual fact is 1000's of players give away DC/AFK/griefers and the GMs can tell who is naughty or nice, and as yet haven't heard of someone getting warned for a calling out an actual DC/AFK/griefer.

Certainly does. Until you find the posts by a guy who was in the match to get the real story lol.

You misunderstood. I am still around w/o having faced any sanctions due to my gameplay decisions. That is what counts. :P

Annoyed? If I am, why would I ask for something like this from PGI?

PGI should really create a "Falsely Accused" achievement, plus an appropriate badge "Innocent Until Proven Guilty" (or vice versa). :D

I guess I did misunderstand. I thought you were one of those other peoples who get annoyed by the idea that DC/AFK/griefers get called out for it in game.

We had a match where the outcome was not in our favor. As the last 'Mech, I found a sweet spot where my LRMs could reach people below me, and people above me could not see me well. I powered down, and then 1 person in my team revealed my position. The other one called me "duh", "coward", and the other one kept shouting out my position. Eventually, the enemy came from the side, where I was more vulnerable, thanks to the coordinates.
Is that a normal behavior? Was I doing something wrong? Is Power Down button there for a reason?!

Powering down=hiding... They should report you for trolling.

Well, truth be told, what annoys me are people who insist on their very narrow (and usually very self-serving) interpretation of the rules, even after PGI and the moderators have already expressly said what "non-participation" actually means.

Powering down as the last mech ingame is pretty lame. Waste of peoples time. You deserve to be called out.

If you ever feel the need to report someone who is trying to use ambush tactics, there is an easy way to do it.

Funny that PGI allows dead people to see co-ordinates with F9 in order to team treason.

I think the coordinates are a holdover from Closed Beta probably used to report map problems and still used for that today.

Regardless of what the ToS say, shutting down with no intention of trying to win the match is just a **** move.

If you do a temporary power down to wait for enemies to pass, and then you power back up and resume hunting them, that's fine. But just hiding in a corner without any intent to win is trollish.

It's impossible to do this as people don't listen when you tell them you are red CT and need to hit them from behind to have a chance.

Anytime you are using your brain, you are an idiot. Anytime you are charging blindly in to the teeth of 12 enemy mechs you are WAD.

Notice the dead mechs below him. Powering down is a tactic. What they do not see can and will harm them. Many people ignor things that do not give off that red Dorito.

ohh ok, last time I checked, you cant fire or move your mech while powered down......Its tactics for trolls only care about their KDR.

So wasting everyone else's time for a whole extra alpha of damage before you die??? So pro!

You guys can say whatever you want. Hiding and powering down when you are the last bot in skirmish is a douche move. Pretending it's a smart move doesn't make it one.

We can advance in different directions, but we can never power down and hide! Cowards will be shot!

What actually matters is what PGI has said.

And they are against powering down. Running away, powering down and hoping someone walks passed is still not supported by PGI. Most do not do that though. Most trolls run off and power down in their mechs sitting there waiting for the clock to run out.
