Ok, help me here, totaly custumisable mechs , no omni pod to change hardpoints, but options for endo, fero, clan xl engine , normal engines and all clan weapons... with clan doubles hs ....

When this hits could any IS ever be competitive again?

If I read the townhall notes correctly, didn't Russ actually dodge the Clan IIC/Battlemech question and just mention IS heroes?

I just saw that get edited into the notes thread literally a minute before you posted that. :\

He said it just a few minutes ago. The first mechs he mentioned are jenner iic , hunchback iic , orion iic and highlander iic.

no, he just said there would be IIC clan mechs.

If the Jenny IIC is anything like the IS version, then that Clan XL won't really make much of a difference for it.

LOL I knew the first IIC thread would basically be a doom thread. This forum never fails expectations.
Honestly I hhiiiiighly doubt they will be as OP as most people say.

I, for one, am totally hyped and can't wait for my Jenner IIC. Even if it ends up being terrible.

They redid the hitboxes IIRC.

To my understanding, the side torsos are easier to hit (think of the Dragon "nose job" change).

The current IS Jenner is obsolete... well, if you go laservomit anyways.

Plus, the "primary" variant is a better Oxide (3M with JJs).

Ok, how is this a doom thread, it's hardly wining, I'm seriously asking , why , how do you see regular IS mechs without IS ERmeds and IS light engine be used against clan non omnis?

Also, does this mean he's skipping the remaining Clan Omnimechs like the Night Gyr? Because frankly I think the NG would actually buttrape the majority of IIC mechs.

How about we just plot the idea of ANY SIZE Clan XLs on those 4 mechs, and then go from there.

Without hardpoint inflation, they leave something to be desired.

2B 2E on the Hunch, 2E being CT, either ST ballistic, and engine rules are unknown.


Should be able to use a 250XL, and 2 JJs leads to 25 tons of pod space with max armour and FF+Endo.


Jenner is just 3M, without inflation, although ~161 Kph with stock engine.
That's with 7 tons of pod space and 2 JJs.

Drop the engine for more firepower, SRM18+A+ammo? Not much else.
