You bet I can kill an ACH with 3 streak 2s. Each IS streak2 has the same DPS as a Clan streak6 now. Do the math. I can easily pull from 300 to 650 damage per game with 1 to 3 kills per game barring any lucky shots on me or me just being plain stupid and jumping a mech when he has support. I run 3 streak2, 1 sml, xl195, ECM, 3 tons ammo.

The Streak2s got a cool down buff. If someone's boating them, that build would have seen a significant improvement.

Now if we can get 50% srm ammo in tease and we will need srm heat reduction quirks after this patch. Like the armor buff on the tdk and the increased ability will be nice.

Just noticed the DHS buff, so ignore the need for srm heat reduction, oops.

I'd still happily take the SRM heat reduction, particularly on the 2D. Posted Image

All the buffs are great now if we could get the arm buffs for the other variants as well especially the 2D.

It was odd to buff the tdk arms but not the rest, wasn't it?

A little, but it occurs to me that all the others have at least one missile hardpoint in the CT.

TDK on the other hand, is all about the gun show. The arm hardpoints are all it's got.

Very true. Either way, TDK has always been at the top of my list of favorite mechs. I am quite excited to take it out after the patch.

I will give it the benefit of doubt but overall I don't think any of the changes are going to be noteworthy.

CMD had agility buffs in the past to the point that it accelerated faster than Locusts, they were removed. If those buffs had been making CMD competitive people would have noticed their removal, but no one did because even with the buffs CMD was clearly a non competitive mech.

The reason why CMD is a mediocre mech and LCT is competitive is offensive power. CMD doesn't need more agility/armor/speed, it needs either godlike offensive quirks or MOAR hard points.

LCT DPS == CMD DPS * 1.5 ----- 50 per cent extra.

I played just one match with a TDK after patch so take what I will say with a grain of salt, it was a fantastic match with 750 dmg and 5 kills but to be honest I didn't feel the TDK was working very well, it was more down to one of those matches where everything goes well: constantly in battle against isolated heavyish targets piloted by mediocre mechwarriors. The arms themselves didn't fall off, so there is that, but still they didn't get fired at much, to be honest I was closer to die by side torso destruction due to a bad move on my part that made me eat a nice alpha from MAD IIC in the chest.

Well, I guess 5 kill, 750 dmg matches in Commando are always something to remember and write about Posted Image

Been a WHILE since I played this game, so I've probably missed a whole bunch of balancing changes, but my COMs are still as fun as I remember. But there must have been some major SSRM2 changes, because I don't remember the 2D rolling well with them last time I played.

had only you and the urbie on the other team combined your power you'd have been unstoppable and beat the other 22 pilots on your own

Yep, they shrunk the cooldown time on IS Streak 2s. Still not a megaweapon, but performs much more nicely.

I have been running the 1D with 2 ML and 2 SRM 4's and it is very enjoyable probably one of my favorite mechs to play. Not to mention the fact that with Skills 2.0 it will be way better than it currently is now.
