Quickdraw is the worst offender of the class.

Honourable mention to Dragon and Catapult.

Catapult...Its freaking huge. And when you guys rescale can you PLEASE do something about the missle geometry? No more "add on" launchers please.

The Quickdraw AND the Catapult both need to be rescaled but I think maybe it's the Stalker that really needs to be up-sized a bit. It really shouldn't be smaller than the Catapult.

But then the Catapult also never should have been given those VCR boxes taped to it's sides....

I don't think every mech needs to be the same size as every mech at its weight, even if the catapult was smaller it still has that nose that will get it killed easily in a brawl and the ears will always be able to shoot off unless they change there shape which will ruin the ascetics of the mech, you have a point with the dragon tho the quirks are over the top, I think the summoner is a long range mech as well and isn't to big and the mad dog is about right since it is a bit skinny and nothing really sticks out.

the grasshopper is one of the tallest mechs in the game, taller then most assaults and the head makes the center torso so easy to hit pluss the long legs make it nearly imposable to see lights biting yore ankles, plus you would expect it to be a good jumper but its legs catch on everything.

Well, I actually agree that different mechs should keep different height profiles, but still would like to see the averages get closer to the 12 M height average (to then have more mechs below that height too). Then have mechs have exceptional features from there, beyond that starting point.

That way a mech like that Atlas still remains one of the tallest, but then would be slightly shorter than it currently is and possibly more narrow from side to side. This, with what I idealize, would see mechs be closer in heights and allow short mechs to be squat and short like say Dragons looking more leathal with the height and shoulder-to-shoulder size of say Hunchbacks/Centurions and then have it's size from front to back give the mech it's 10 extra tons over a Hunchback for example.

As for getting stuck on maps, I look forward to the on-going map improvements and hopefully seeing the upcoming balance pass give this mobility issue a good tweak in the process.

Than on another side note, I'd love to see mechs get more Torso Pitch it looks like most are around 20 degrees with the range from 16 to ~30. Bumping that up a tad to say to the 25 to 37 range could be a lot in may cases, for example.

Stalker doesnt need to be upsized, the Catapult is just to freaking big by comparison...Stalker was not really a "big" assault mech.

I suppose map scaling will be taken into account later on.

I wish people would quit voting for the Grasshopper. It's supposed to be a very tall and thin mech for its tonnage and I think it's been scaled perfectly to fit that criterion.

Catapult needs to be smaller if it's going to keep those ginormous missile bays. I would certainly like to see them shrunken down to vestigial versions when using smaller launchers.

The Grasshopper is as big as a Atlas !

Therefore this is the Mech who should get shrinked first.

Catapult first. Then the Grasshopper. Or both at the same time :)

I know it won't "win", but the Hellbringer looks twice the size (or mass) of the Ebon Jaguar.

Either the Catapult needs to get smaller (preferred), or the Stalker needs to get bigger, or both.

If this picture is an indication of how scale can be worked out then a base scale is required? Surely there is a computer programme can work out sizes based on supposed weight & volume? Take an Atlas, it's stocky & robust & a slimmer 100 ton mech would be taller. Something like a Direwolf would probably be chest height. Then you take a 20 ton mech,you have to fit a pilot in there somewhere so the height has to be based on ;& be proportional to something which could be a cockpit but still be small enough to be a 20 ton mech? The whole range of available mechs needs to be adjusted to be proportional to each other?{If any of that made sense?}

Catapult - maybe a bit smaller. Maybe. The ears are terrible though and need rework bad. They are so big they should be able to fit any possible set of missle launchers with them. Arent they designed to do so? Now only those big friggin ears only fit one (!) launcher, the other go outside, making the ears even bigger. Doesn't matter if you put srm2 or narc first, the rest of the launchers now get attached to the sides of the ears, turning them from big to insanely oversized.

Grasshopper - Just. Way. Too. Tall.

Quickdraw - Just. Too. Big.

Dragons would rather need remodelling than rescaling imho.

only the lights in real scaling, all other in double BT size ...the Shadowhawk only 9,5 meters in Height (equal to a M1 Abrams lenght), the Thunderbolt ~8,5m

left the mWO scaling...right the more BT Scaling

Problem by BT Scaling =all mechs must have Running Animations ,and very faster in speed (double Way in some Time by Some Range =more difficult Targets and not more easy to hit ) and have more Cover

Here are the current mechs, sidebyside:

Also for some, such as the Kit Fox, Adder and Mad Dogs issues would be helped significantly by lowering the torso, rather than the very extended legs.

Catapult does not need rescaling, it just needs the dynamic launchers like the timby.
That would cut down the ear volume a ton.

Yes it does, badly

All 3 leading Mechs are good choices.
