Already calling for DW nerfs and we haven't even experienced the C-AC changes yet.. On top of that some of you act like the DW got a speed and movement buff. The thing is slow..

How about rather than nerfing everything we learn to defeat the mech.

Or at least see how it plays first before crying bloody murder.

Then again, I think people prefer to panic. I think they enjoy it.

So, tomorrows patch is buffing clan ac's. They get less ammo, but a major increase in usability. The previous patch also gave them a ROF buff that was fairly well recieved... but I can't help but feel an impending sense of doom at this.

Dire Wolf.

The dakka wolf has always been an excellent mech, always - it is only a mediocre mech in the hands of someone who isn't very good. And each of these recent patches seem intent on making it better. It's dps is insane.... it needs negative quirks and fast.

I have seen someone pull 3500 in pug solo queue with it, and its the only mech i own that I hit 1k with enough for it to be 'regular'.

I propose 'ghost rate of fire'. 3+ Clan UAC's recieve a decrease in rate of fire, up to 30% when weilding 6. Although, i'm not the game dev... and this would only return it to it's pre recent patch state.

Dakkawhale only scares noobs and bads. Specially the 6UAC2...you would be surprised how mediums can tank that if they bother to twist.

4UAC10 may be the best dakka. UAC20 are too short range and Whales dont brawl all that well due to slow turning and hitboxes.

The TRADE for all that dakka is facetime and tunnelvision...

Space Whale is superior. 75-80 damage alpha then can hide. FAR more durable.

We will probably see a rise of the Dakka Whales.

But Whales are soo slow, that i still can't decide if they are threatening or not.

Well, they are if you stand still in front of them.

Clan UACs are already super powerful and deadly when mated to laser vomit, now they up it to OP levels, really PGI!

Already super powerful???

What? Let me have what you are smoking!

First, you had a guy behind you who supported you with LBX and laser fire, though you dealt most damage. Second, that DWF player had foolishly closed the distance, where the AC20s are most effective. Third, the pilot was not me.

So yeah... ...I can agree that KGC is situationally more powerful than the Whale. We can put it to a test should you meet me in a pug match. Just look for a Green Whale.

To be fair, how many of those Crabs had good loadouts?

You know, not the ones with 4MG and lots of LRM15???

I do not know, they all died pretty fast. :P

Still, I prefer having the drop on them, rather than beating them to a pulp but taking return fire, which is not negligible.

The St. Ives in the video, if you watch him, only tagged the Dire's left torso once, he was pretty content to let me have the Dire's full attention. Secondly, he didn't contribute at all to the CT coring I gave that Dire. Third, you missed the point, which is that any Dire, yours included, is not invincible.

Not to mention, that Dire had almost nowhere to go. I was faster than him, what was he gonna do, run from me? Back off? He did what was going to give him the best chance of success: try to blind me with cannon fire. You will note that the PPFLD of my 2xAC20 cored him out nicely, meanwhile he didn't even breach my armor due to me torso twisting between shots (I actually screwed that up a little, I twisted left twice, I should have alternated sides).

I believe the line was, "Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed."

That means the Dire can finally directly match the 6xAC2 crab... which is just okay.

Edit: 6xUAC2 leaves you with plenty of room for lasers to back it up however. I could see some sort of suppression role coming from a silly build with 6xUAC2s.

I've been running a quad UAC2 HBR since the initial UAC burst changes. Not hugely effective unless I can really lay into someone, but the supression was amazing. People tend to equate massed UAC fire with dakkawolves, so most of the time I could make people panic just by firing a couple salvos in their direction.

I'm a little sad at the projectile count reduction, since it means my dakka wall won't sound or feel nearly as cool anymore.

Indeed.

I always go for the RT. Specially the 4uac5 ones with LL backups.

Can a UAC5 DWF fit enough ammo to do 3500?
