Tell them CW is primarily designed for Group and Unit play. Maybe a big popup when they hit Faction? Big red letters in bold font "Faction Warfare is for Group and Unit Play. Solo play is very difficult" with a nice confirmation box.
Then they would know that this area of the game might not be the best place for them but the actual Solo queue, until they are ready.

You do realize this is what is already happening and is one of the reasons that the CW queues are so small, right?
The majority of MWO players play solo (PGI once even said it was 86% but this number was debunked though not officially) ... though even taking their numbers in terms of groups still meant that more than 50% drop solo. SO ... creating a game feature that is designed to appeal to less than half of the player base is bound to have fewer players to start with ... add in the greater time commitment required ... the preference for organized groups over random groups ... and you get a situation ripe for low player populations.
