Its the best clan streak boat

not really
firstly it's too slow
secondly it has 4 of its 5 missile hardpoints on its arms
thirdly it's not an especially good brawler overall
and the last but not least, it can take only 5 tons of ammo which is pretty low for 5 ssrm-6

the only thing which it has over stormcrow it's jump jets

it's not faster, they have the same 81-89 kmh speed

Except for the 5% top speed quirk on the summoner

OP post translation: I can't do well with this mech so it is crap.

Now from my angle, it's very agile, has great jj capability and tanks damage lie a beast. It's also the mech I have broken the 1k damage barrier the most on, including whales and the like. Once ot clicks, it's a great mech.
It's a big, steroid pumped medium.

So clearly we're having the you're not good enough discussion.

More likely you are approaching this mech's characteristics the correct way discussion. Nearly all heavy players I see are either:
Stand at the back hiding with lrms
Ridge hump and "snipe"
Or waddle at people and alpha strike face tanking damage

The Summoner is about mobility and agility, MOVING.

mobility and agility for heavies in mwo it's 'ridge hump and snipe'
also poptart and snipe

terribly wrong. thats how to abuse most heavy mechs.
ridge hump and snipe is one of the things some mediums can do because of their hardpoint location and speed.
heavies are mobile assault supports.

quickdraws are built on movement. summoners are built on movement, dragons are flankers so again movement.
jaeger is a dedicated ridge humper and sniper. literally the only heavy with this role.

they *can* buts its not what they *should* do.
thats PGI quirk mystery to make them how they are ingame.
which is sad that they get pulled out of their role and dragged into a role they should never have.

what would be ideal, and how the game is actually played, sadly are two different things. Since we don't play in your Utopia, but in a peektart/hillhumping/ridgeriding game of coward balls waiting to die, we are talking about what IS, not what SHOULD BE.

actually its no utopia. alot of people i play with dotn care about bullsh1t hillhumping, cowering, diaper-wearing failing all time. just go in and kill stuff. im sorry if so many people cant use whats inside their heads these days.

nowait, im not sorry for those that need apps as brain replacement.
im kinda ashamed of it. so am i about how this game is played and how the community reacts to everything that doesnt favor the current crap in longrange hillhumping.

PGI could change it. and they propably would if alot of players wouldnt go full ret+rd about it.

It is definitely a tough nut to crack.

1 lrm 20. 2 erll 2 er med
2 uac5 3 er med
streakboat

I think it is easier than my Stormcrow which I have a hard time in...guess it all depends on your play style.

LMAO!!! Its widely known that the Thor is garbage. You and others can continue to be ignorant.

I carry decent stats in it, 1.8kd and a 1:1 w/l...Comparing in to other clanners, which is the point of this thread, it is a massive failure. All of my other clan mechs carry a 2.50+ or 3.0+...The simple fact is, the Thor is not combat effective.

The same guys that can't get a Summoner to work, are the same guys who either can't or refuse to pilot anything difficult such as Commando's, Locusts, Trebuchet, Orion Awesome, Kintaro, Kitfox, Nova, Iceferret.

I carry a higher KD and w/l in my Kintaros vs the Thor.....So your theory is garbage...

Summoners are better than Cataphracts. Where is the Cataphract thread at so I can post in it?

I feel that Phracts are a tad better do to superior hard point location.

I've pretty much given up on it which is sad cause it used to be my favorite mech. I sported 4 Medium Pulse and 2 AMS, but I guess just wasn't enough firepower. 2 Cultra 5's and 4 ER Smalls works o.k. but I HATE the double-tap. I'm starting to get arthritis or maybe it's carpel tunnel syndrome in my wrist and it hurts to double-tap.

I read somewhere that a new Summoner variant is coming out with another beam hardpoint. That would fix things for me.

You just ANY credibility you had with that statement. Widely known? By a mass of others? Just because They don't get it and you don't get it, doesn't make your point any more true.

My Shitaros have my lowest K/D of 1.5 combined. Whereas my Summoners are at 2.71 combined.

Of course my Awesomes are all at 2.28 combined.
