Easier to hold damage to minimal components on slow moving or big mechs. Very solid.
But still has weakness, like they are still mediocre against fast moving Lights, which is fine. Catch a Light flatfooted though? DEATH. Keep moving, and I spray multiple "AC5s" across him. Might hurt him, but not too bad. Also, you doubletap a lot, they get mighty warm, fast. Again, I'm ok with that, as being Lighter and Smaller than IS ACs, they need tradeoffs.
Been running around in SCRs, TBRs, SMNs and a WHK to test them out and been very satisfied. On my Warhawk, all I got is a UAC20, 2x ERPPC a TC1 and extra DHS. If I catch anything flatfooted, something falls off. Very fun.
So far, very satisfied with these, the extra AC10 ammo and the PPC buffs.
Will it replace laser vomit? Dunno, don't care. I've always felt worrying too much about what the Meta is seems the antithesis of fun. Are they worth using though? IMO, yes.

I'm just amazed that cACs got 2 of the 3 tweaks I suggested. Sure, I wasn't the only one advocating it by any stretch, so I don't get to feel special or anything, but still, it's good to see.
What's the verdict? Do clans have a competitive weapon outside laser vomit and gauss now?

haven't run a Fatty yet, but the less heralded mild buff to the Heavies JJs is nice, too.

I feel they do. Dunno if it'll overcome the Meta, but the C-ERPPC are about right now, as are the UAcs.

The procedure is like this:
Q- can you fit gauss?
A1- yes?... then good.
A2- no?... pack ER med lasers.

I wish I could convince my unit mates that. Every time we go clan in CW they are all "wooo UAC-10/20s and cSPLs all day!!"
I facepalm a little, but then we go in and out-brawl all the TDR-5SSs and its like yeah okay that works really well! I'm sure they are even better now, very cool. Looking forward to trying them out.

I apologize for not getting the time to play with Clan-UACs after the initial set of changes.
Clan SPL is pretty sweet.
I'm still pro-Gauss regardless of what I think of CUACs though.

Go for it. And while you are waiting for your charge in a brawl, I'll double tap a UAC20 into your gauss. Gauss has it's place, for sure. But it's not as all purpose cure all as you are making it sound.

That jam chance above all is why I think they suck. Spread, cool, but spread and random jam chance? just ugh.
Well, complaining about it makes as much sense as complaining that an Artist is slow. It's part and parcel to the weapon. Otherwise you get a double rate AC at basically no cost.

Its amazing that PGI made these UAC improvements!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I and some others suggested dropping the pellet count and I was disappointed that the timing was lowered slightly and not much difference in play. BUT NOW !!!!!!!! they changed the pellet count to 1,2,3,4 WHOOOOHOOOO downloading patch and see how my UAC DW does.
Thanks PGI for this BRAVO !!!!!!!!!!

UAC have always been like this.
Anyways, I still hope they can figure out something to make standard CAC useful for once, I would have much prefered that standard CAC been given the reduced shell count, and leave UAC where they were.
