Surprised no one is asking if PGI will try doing Quads aka Scorpion & Goliath.

They have, both in this thread a few pages back, and in other threads.

The answer's the same though: Nope, too many problems with animations and control schemes.

Wouldnt it be great if someday Mechwarrior had a none combat role spot for each drop, something like a mine layer or something. Mech Commander had that. But also another spot for a multi player quad mech.

So 12 mechs, a none combat role spot and a quad spot. Just something that sounds great some time.

And while on the subject of fun things to see in Mechwarrior Online, maybe some day the Warhammer and Marauder will be in game, and why not Aerotech and those bird aliens? :)

But wouldn't it be COOL? Eh?
I mean, even if it's just 2 mechs (with many more in the next 10ish years BT time), wouldn't it add a lot of depths to the game?
Having something so different, with a completely different movement scheme and aesthetic, would do a lot for the game, in my opinion.
I mean, if you take a look at other "tank-control" games like the upcoming Armored Warfare, it does actually have very different vehicles. Not everything is a tracked tank, others are wheeled vehicles that control completely differently than the tanks!

I say YES to Quads. So should YOU!

The Crusader - despite being humanoid - could get a tougher hitbox profile than the Catapult. Of course, we don't know what results a potential Cat rescale might have.

Eventually we hit a point where new chassis don't offer much more than cosmetics, because IS 'mechs have nigh-unlimited customization. Were we to scale that back, either with sized hard points, stock mode, or some other method, suddenly PGI would see demand for new chassis jump, because each new 'mech probably *could* offer something that another model can't already do.

I don't think it's likely that we'll see that, but then again a week ago I didn't think we'd ever get Unseen.

Someone send for His Eminence, the Bishop and have him make burnt Twitter offerings to Russ for news.

This is a line of people wanting to throw money at him. In fact I would stuff a bunch of $20s in a strippers g-string and (gently) throw strippers at an Unseen pack like this.

I'd do the same, but he says that he's nine years too old for me to have any real say over him any longer (he's 27), so I guess cold hard cash will have to do :)

Eh, as long as you get at least one battletech fan in the jury you can't be convicted.

The Crusader would be pretty limited on hardpoints, it would be very similar to the Black Knight. The Crusader was meant to be a melee brawler and there is no melee in MWO :-(

What?

Just about every match I play breaks down to a grand melee at the end; in fact the Crusader seems purpose-built for the kind of fights we have in MWO: Dual LRM-15s for the early long-range trade, and dual SRM-6s, MLs, and MGs for the end brawl.

It looks like it'd kick arse and take names if it wasn't for ECM making a mockery of LRMs.

Yeah, apparently my memory is hazy, checked Sarna and saw the missiles. Just swap out the LURMs for more SRMs. :-)

Mattel survived because they did what Hasbro did with Transformers/GI Joe with He-man/She-Ra. As someone who was a kid in the '80s and remembers which toys were popular basically it came down to this---was there a cartoon for you to watch?

the funny part is the 1/2 hour comertial was some of the best tv made in those years
