Just got d/c on first match on Oceanic, Crimson. Just nice -- we coined a new nickname for the servers in the game: "Black Hole Oceanic"...

I've noticed that a higher percent of the games where we get DC'd seem to be River City.

Also seems to wait till the match is nearing the end and a close contest, although that last bit could be my bad luck.

All but one of my DC have been within the opening minute of the match.

Just DC'd again in a match where it was down to 3 mechs, guess what it was River City.

For me anyway this is the only map that is DCing, please take it off the Oceania rotation for now.

I am curious to know... are the users getting disconnected from an active game or are the servers crashing hard and becoming unresponsive to where the connecting agent thinks the server is running, but in reality its crashed/rebooting?

I'm glad I've been playing only on the NA server. After all, Piranha Games has disappointed me enough that I'd never ever trust this company anymore.

FFS, forget your pipe dream Transverse and focus your resources on MWO.

I think the more annoying part is having the mech locked "in game"

I doubt its just connectivity issues. Why else would we not be able to rejoin a match after disconnecting?

Its a bug.

What has happened to the Oceanic server?
Playing today my ping has gone from ~140ms
trace route here: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4613281

If I trace route or ping to the server, I still get 140ms but in game it says ~200ms.

Is this just affecting me or anyone else finding their in game ping much higher?

My ISP did a check on their route to Singapore servers and seem to think they are providing the best route within their jurisdiction and so the blame game continues and a solution is never found. :(

Stability of the servers had greatly improved -- I did not experience any dump-and-lock from games yesterday, and I was playing on Oceanic exclusively. Ten+ games, at least.

Despite getting very low latency, I do get a lot of really blotchy connection on Oceanic server (I live in Bangkok).
The game often starts with the mech cockpit graphics unloaded, and that will show up a bit later.

Another issue is enemy mechs do not load up properly. This morning, I was in my Locust (pretty lightly armored, of course). I pop out from behind a mountain and saw 1 enemy, heard the "incoming missiles" alarm, and dodged back in. 3 seconds later, my entire body was in red (every, single, part). There was 1 screen shake as if I got hit by just 1 single stray missile.

In another game, I was rushing through a cap point, and I saw 3 enemies on it. My teammates were yelling me a warning, screaming "HELLBRINGER!", but I only saw a Locust, a Raven, and a Panther. I put a shot into the enemies than run back out--then got hit by the HB standing NEXT TO ME!
On my screen, he literally materialized right onto my back! Not near me, but ON ME! I was running forward! How could I not see an HB? There is no way he was running after me and catching up--I'm Locust with speed tweak. For all I know, I could've been ramming him for the past few seconds!

My connection to the OC server from the USA East Coast have been OK this last weekend. Much improved from a week or so ago. Thanks PGI.... what you did certainly helped! Yay! Two new war horns..... The lime green Kidney horn I can live with but I wish I did not have to see a Monkey toy in my cockpit. Not something you would ever see in a military life and death business... But hey, It's a good horn for a light. It's screech really rubs it in when you get a kill on an heavy or assault.
