Of course it only takes an idiot's err... I mean "gentleman's" agreement to turn assault and conquest into a steaming pile of brawltardery.
Something that has destroyed conquest imho.I would love to see conquest penalize rewards by 75% for winning if over 6 enemy mechs are killed. The team violated their orders to capture. Or the team that wins with fewer than 4 mechs left get an automatic doubling of their rewards. Something do make deathballing on conquest a bad tactic and force skirmishers back to their sty.

You want war? There would have to be some massive gameplay changes. Things PGI is not interested in doing at this time.

Except that's what PUGS do anyway. Stomp off to the center of the map or to NASCAR. Every. Single, Game. Often whether you want to defend or not you have no choice but to stick with your team, follow the masses or get rekd if the enemy pushes your base with any kind of numbers. Unless you are a fast mover.
I think rewards should be a lot larger for Capturing the base vs killing everyone. Might be an incentive to break up the death-ball so we might actually have Attackers and defenders. Just an idea. Who am I kidding....pugs are still gonna NASCAR. Every. Single, Game.
