Solo Players Should Never Be Allowed To Drop In Community Warfare.

No matter what PGI does, there will always be friction on the field any time more than one unit takes the same side....be they solo, in groups of 4, 6, or anything less than 12. (And let's be honest, units have broken up over various personality issues). Community doesn't mean "Only the people I deem worthy".

in game voip does not work very well, I can barely hear most of you when you talk, adjust you mics and your output volume before you use the VOIP please. Is there a way to test the output volume on the client, if not there should be.

You are way off base here. You are mistaking arguments of futility as downright hostility towards solos. Check yourself
To clarify: I'm not in favor of cutting down group caps in Commodity Warfare, as the thread Livewyr mentioned seemed to be espousing. The mode is intended as the playground of large, rigidly organized superunits, and that's fine.
That said, whenever I see a thread in GD along the lines of "why doesn't anyone ever play CW?", my response is always "because CW players told me not to." I am answered with "the hell we did?!"
This thread - this one right here, in which I am now posting - is pretty incontrovertible proof that you did, in fact, tell me not to. This thread, Twiafu's general existence, the enormous backlash against solos when CW went live...all pretty compelling reasons for me to stick to the regular queue. And when CW guys come over to GD and try and demand people play in CW instead so they can wait for less than half an hour between matches, I'm going to remind them that they specifically told us to stay away.
A longstanding lesson about having or eating cakes comes to mind here.

Dont do everything someone tells you on the internet. There are no authorities besides PGI. Don't care much about what goes on in GD. I don't even read it.

Why should I play a game mode in which my own team is almost as hostile towards me as the enemy?
One in which I net less than half of the earnings for the same time played as a regular queue game - important when my playtime is already pretty sharply limited - and one in which I am committed to a horrible pummeling for half an hour rather than a quick six minutes if the game goes poorly? And worst of all, a mode in which anyone I kill does not actually stay dead, but instead comes back in their seventeenth Thunderbolt or their ninth Stalker and throws more PPCs at my face?
Commodity Warfare is a bad game mode. It needs to be ripped out and rebuilt, and when it is, they need to build it with an eye towards the 'Damn Dirty Casuals™' CW players are currently so venomously against having anything to do with being able to contribute. Because you've all seen what happens when only the twelve-man unit teams play, and that thing is queue times nobody can tolerate.
Those queue times are on you guys. Not me.

lol at this. If you are not making more money in CW then you would in the public cue then you are doing it wrong. If you are waiting extra long times to get a CW drop, then you are doing it wrong. If you are dropping solo in CW instead of joining your factions TS and grouping up with other players, you are doing it wrong.
Don't blame the system when you are so obviously doing it wrong.

Don't play it. No point getting all riled about about it. It'll die on its own and (hopefully) something better will take its place. I've never played CW and I've never regretted that decision. The Devs said exactly what it was going to be before they launched it so I knew ahead of time what was going to happen. The only thing I wasn't sure of was how long it would take.

All those bottlenecks on the maps just completly killed my interrest in CW.
If CW was removed from MWO i most certainly wouldn't shed a single tear....what i want is Solaris. 12 or even 24 mechs in a giant free for all.
Complete chaos and mayhem.

This tread isn't about solo players NOT dropping in Community Warfare, this tread is about giving solo players a reason to join a group to play Community Warfare AS A MEMBER OF A COMMUNITY. Stop getting it twisted....READ what is being posted.
I am the OP and I am here to tell you.....I got love for ALL of you. In group...I <3 ya, Drop solo...I <3 ya, why???? Because you are ALL cool cats who like big stompey robots.
I want this game to be SUCCESSFUL. I have dropped THOUSANDS of dollars into this game (over the 4K mark) I want every person who plays this game to have an enjoyable experience, and I am here to tell you....being a part of a 12 man and stomping pug groups of uncoordinated solo players doesn't feel like an EPIC 'End Game" experience.
There is a place for solo players....they have their own que. It is designed from the bottom up to be a GREAT experience for solo players with features like 'solo vs solo only' and 'ELO'. Sometimes you are the hammer, other times you are the nail, but there is at least SOME balance.
Community Warfare, not so much. Nothing stopping a 12 man from facing at complete "team" (lol...team) of 12 solo players right now....NOTHING. Its not fair to the solo players, and it is damn sure not fair to the 12 man group.

To be fair, that is exactly what the title says though as well as your initial post. I get your point, but you might want to edit your initial post to clarify. Not everyone will read all 6 pages (and they should not have to).

Forcing people to HAVE to group is not the option. If you want a true CW feeling, you'll open the entire thing up like I've suggested in the past. You'd still have your dedicated 12 mans (12v12) and everything else is 1-4 man queue. All matches are default CW, with skirmish being an optional select mode that doesn't count toward CW. You get your 12 man action, I get the ability to play and contribute without having to join a certain unit - e.g.- I get to be a lone wolf and still pledge loyalty to who I want, when I want, and contribute as well.
If you're angry about people using Trial mechs, then disable the ability to use Trial mechs in CW. PGI won't do that though because the playerbase count isn't high enough to support that, just like my segregation idea. The CW stands as it is today because there's not enough players.
Wait until the Steam release and then we'll see how things are.

That said, have seen groups in say Davion chat that have used LFG to create a more coherent group that actually works well together and communicates.
The problem is that CW has so many other problems that make pug drops a problem. There is nothing to fight for, too many fronts, over stacked factions and of course a single pug/group drop system (yes it supposedly excludes 12man groups?)
Right now CW is a shell. It needs content, it needs volume, it needs to give something back for participating in this & PGI need a solid plan on how this is going to work. We have had silence for weeks/months now so it feels like it is still being figured out tbh...

PGI allowing solo players to drop in CW is the same as Blizzard letting level 1 players enter level 60 raids instances. In short, they dropped the ball so HARD the earth is splitting in two by giving solo players an option to drop in CW ques.
I may be a solo player, but I am far from level 1.

Its an analogy that went over your head. If you take a coordinated 12 man against a bunch of solo guys, it would be like taking a level 1 on a lvl 60 raid lol.
And Armando I don't think I would worry about 1453 too much. He's been angry for a while....
