Yeah, trying to get better at the game is a lot to ask of the players.

Pretty sure there are some units that let you drive whatever but they probably win less

I like these ideas. However, I would still refuse (joining a Unit).

The things I do in CW are for Clan Wolf. I do not care for Units.

Most units don't care what you bring to the filed, so long as it is not stupid (4 lrm boats, flamer only builds .... etc.) As long as the build functions, you'll be okay.

no i dont use teamspeak.i have in the past a few times..but there is always that one person that's just plain rude.

I'm mostly familiar with Davion units, like HHoD, 22AL, C4, HHGD.

If you check the Davion forum, you can see their recruitment threads.

However, I would personally recommend you check out the Davion Teamspeak server, and talk to the pilots in those units to get a better feeling for them.

We have a no profanity rule in our teamspeak. Members do not have to use our teamspeak unless they want to join the CW group. We have more than 150 Founders, and trust me, we are all grown ups ..

get your c-bills in regular matches you selfish anti-team players, also have at least the basic tier efficiency

My pleasure. Also, if you ever run into annoying pilots in a drop, you can actually voice your complaint, either they abide by it, or the rest will pressure them into stopping.

We've all had situations like that, and usually, either the group corrects the one in the wrong, or they're not worth staying with.

I would like to see some "experienced" pilots post up screenshots of what they can do in Trial 'Mechs. Afterall the Community proposed and voted for the builds, if they suck and are gimping new players we have noone to blame but ourselves. Besides we have no right to TELL players what they can or cannot play in and certainly not to call them names tor it.

To be fair it is likely the only place you hear much about individual units is on the forums.

Or in team chat if someone mentions how good they are, but usually someone else will pipe up with how they're not that good.

My personal opinion is, that there should be certain "skill" requierment to enter CW. Hell they introduced PSR, use it for CW. Once you get to Tier 3 ( thats midle ground and the majority ) you can enter CW. By that time you probably learned to build mechs and play the game to some extend. Since CW was supposed to be "end game" or "hardcore mode" , new players shouldn't be allowed. Earn CW period.
CW would improve a lot, specialy on the IS side.
